Konami has cancelled the physical release of the Silent Hill F soundtrack, and their explanation for doing so was very unclear.
So, the soundtrack for that new survival horror game I’ve been playing, the one with music by Akira Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage? It was supposed to drop in December on the Konami Style online store. I’ve been waiting for it, honestly – the in-game music was incredible!
We’re sorry to announce that the soundtrack’s CD and vinyl releases have been cancelled due to unforeseen issues.
Anyone who had pre-ordered either of these products will be refunded.
Right now, the full soundtrack is only included with the Digital Deluxe version of Silent Hill F, and you have to buy that version separately.
Now that the physical soundtrack release has been cancelled, it’s uncertain if the music will ever be available on streaming platforms like Spotify.
It’s frustrating when problems like this occur, particularly when customers aren’t kept informed. Let’s hope the issues are resolved quickly so the soundtrack can be released as expected.
