My Hero Academia Creator Welcomes Back Bakugo With Explosive New Art

The anime series *My Hero Academia* is known for unexpectedly killing off important characters, so fans were worried when Bakugo, one of the most popular characters, was seriously injured. Thankfully, Bakugo has recovered and is now helping the main character, Deku, and All Might. To celebrate this important moment in the story, the series creator, Kohei Horikoshi, released beautiful new artwork, suggesting things are finally starting to improve for the heroes.

The latest episode of My Hero Academia’s eighth season features a dramatic entrance by Bakugo, who manages to rescue Toshinori Yagi from All For One. Although All For One is getting weaker and younger with each blow due to his healing ability, he’s become more powerful after absorbing Stane’s Quirk. Bakugo, despite not having One For All, is proving to be a formidable fighter and could be the key to saving Hero Society. The fight animation by Studio BONES is particularly impressive, delivering some of the best visuals the series has ever seen. New artwork by creator Kohei Horikoshi is also available.

My Hero Academia Explodes

With the manga for *My Hero Academia* concluding last year, creator Kohei Horikoshi has been able to collaborate more closely with the animation studio BONES on the final anime season. During this summer’s Anime Expo, Horikoshi explained that this allowed him to develop additional scenes for the series’ ending. He shared that he’s been able to suggest extra scenes and enhance the emotional impact of the performances now that the manga is complete.

The creator of *My Hero Academia*, Kohei Horikoshi, added extra scenes to the manga’s ending after it was first published, essentially releasing a longer, more complete version. These new scenes will likely be included in the upcoming anime finale. But don’t worry, this isn’t the end of the *My Hero Academia* world! The spin-off series, *My Hero Academia: Vigilantes*, is getting a second season, and there’s enough source material for potentially more seasons after that. Plus, while it hasn’t been officially announced, a fifth movie is possible, as the previous film, *My Hero Academia: You’re Next*, wasn’t presented as the last one.

I’ve been really enjoying the latest art style in *My Hero Academia*, and Bakugo’s return is a huge moment! I’d love to hear what you all think, so please share your thoughts in the comments below and join the discussion over in the ComicBook Forum.
