Vanessa Kirby Gives Birth, Welcomes First Baby With Partner Paul Rabil

Vanessa Kirby has some fantastic news.

The actress from *Fantastic Four* and her boyfriend, Paul Rabil, recently welcomed their first child. She first announced she was expecting in May by showing off her baby bump at a public event.

The lacrosse player confirmed the news while sharing a glimpse into fatherhood.

Paul shared on Instagram that becoming a parent is a strangely beautiful mix of slowing down and becoming more aware. He expressed gratitude for the health of his family and the love of his partner, and joy at welcoming their newborn. He also playfully anticipated the chaos to come, noting their first ‘cradle stick’ (likely a baby gym) will witness many memories – and probably some broken windows, as balls are now allowed inside!

Oh my gosh, did you hear? Apparently, this incredible actress—I seriously think she’s amazing—said she actually learned a lot about becoming a mom from playing Sue Storm in that *Fantastic Four* movie! She said being pregnant as that character really taught her some things, which is just… wow. It’s so cool to see how she connects with her roles on such a deep level. I knew she was special!

Vanessa explained to *People* magazine that the character wasn’t limited to just one role. While she was definitely a mother – a key part of her portrayal in the comics – she was also a strong team player who faced serious dangers.

She explained that witnessing someone deeply committed to an important task – both as a person and as part of a team – was a profoundly moving experience that personally changed her.

Her boyfriend, Paul, is excited about becoming a parent too, and recently talked about how much he’s anticipating this next phase of their lives together.

He announced some exciting news on Instagram in June, sharing photos of Vanessa’s baby bump. He wrote that they were starting a wonderful new chapter in their lives and expressed gratitude for all the love, support, and advice they’d received.

As a huge fan, it was so heartwarming to hear the lacrosse legend acknowledge the Oscar nominee! He said his mom is a superhero, and honestly, I couldn’t agree more – he seems incredibly grateful and lucky to have her in his life.
