Actors such as Jacob Elordi (from Euphoria) and Harris Dickinson (from Babygirl) have been mentioned as possibilities, while Tom Holland has gained significant attention as a favorite. However, despite his impressive track record with Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man films, it appears that a three-year-old movie featuring Tom Holland might disqualify him from playing James Bond effectively, since he failed to convey the magic and charm of adventurer Nathan Drake in the 2022 adaptation of the Uncharted video game franchise.
In contrast to its impressive box office earnings of $407.1 million against a production budget of $120 million, the 2022 movie adaptation of Uncharted received mixed reviews due to concerns about casting. Critics felt that Tom Holland was not an ideal choice for Nathan Drake because he seemed too young and lacked the ruggedness associated with the character in the games, who is often depicted as being 31 years old. Some also pointed out that Holland’s acting style, which is well-suited to Peter Parker, appeared less convincing when portraying the more seasoned Nathan Drake.

However, given Holland’s recent strides in honing his acting skills, we can’t rule out the possibility of a transformation that could make him a compelling Bond contender.
