As a wrestling fan, I was glued to social media all day because WWE was dropping these really mysterious teaser videos. At first, everyone was buzzing, thinking we might see some major returns on Monday Night Raw. The early clips focused on shoes, and people were speculating about Gunther or even Brock Lesnar coming back. They kept releasing more videos throughout Raw, building up the hype. But now that the final video is out and the mystery’s been solved, honestly, a lot of fans – myself included – are pretty disappointed with how it all played out.
Throughout the WWE Raw broadcast, a series of short videos aired. Initially, they showed shoes, but later clips focused on close-ups of hands—seemingly those of Paul Heyman—and someone pouring a drink. While speculation about a possible return, even involving Chris Jericho, built up, it eventually faded. Instead, viewers began to suspect the videos were connected to WrestleMania 42. The final video confirmed this, ending with a spinning poker chip that revealed the year 2026.

WrestleMania 42 will be held in Las Vegas again. It turns out the recent mysterious campaign was actually just an advertisement for the event and its location. The teasers didn’t lead to any ticket sales or announcements, which left many excited fans feeling let down.

Several users reacted to a cryptic post hinting at Wrestlemania potentially being held in Las Vegas next year. @mychemwinter questioned if the event was indeed headed to Vegas, while @DioAtlas criticized the unnecessary secrecy, noting everyone already expected the announcement. @CavemanGamer compared the teasing to similar announcements from Tony Khan, pointing out that building anticipation requires a significant payoff, otherwise fans will be disappointed when the reality doesn’t match their expectations. They felt this approach was reminiscent of Khan’s past ‘huge announcements’ that failed to deliver.
T. Kamrowski expressed annoyance that WWE predictably allowed speculation to run wild with their WrestleMania teasers, stating they knew people would overanalyze everything. Another user, The FF Realist, jokingly pointed out that WrestleMania is once again being held in Las Vegas.
We already knew WrestleMania 42 would be held in Las Vegas, so this announcement felt like either a very early sneak peek at a commercial or, at worst, a disappointing tease. While there’s still a possibility they’ll add more to it, the reveal didn’t live up to the hype, and it’s understandable why people are disappointed.
