Huge Hint Drops That Black Clover May Be Ending Less Than in 10 Chapters

The popular manga series Black Clover by Yuki Tabata is nearing its end after more than ten years. It began its final story arc in 2022 and moved to a quarterly release schedule in Jump GIGA. Since 2023, each issue has included two or three new chapters as the story builds to a final battle against Lucius Zogratis. While fans have to wait a bit longer between chapters, the wait is rewarding thanks to the beautiful color art, exciting plot twists, and overall stunning visuals. Three new chapters will be released in October as part of the Fall 2025 issue of Jump GIGA. The magazine has hinted at the ending for some time, but recent comments specifically used the phrase “super climax,” which indicates the series is truly in its final stages.

Several popular manga series have recently concluded: Undead Unluck finished in January 2025 after announcing its climax last December, while Mashle wrapped up just a month after its announcement in June 2023. Demon Slayer and The Promised Neverland both ended in 2020. Black Clover is published quarterly, so it’s expected to finish next year. Even if the author were to continue releasing chapters until Fall 2026—which seems unlikely—the series will still conclude within ten chapters.

2026 Will Be an Exciting Year For Black Clover Fans

The manga is nearing its conclusion, and it’s expected that the anime will return around the same time as the manga’s finale. Recent chapters have brought back key characters, who have all grown stronger during the recent conflict. With Mimosa’s help, Asta rejoins the fight, declaring it will be the last one – suggesting the story is wrapping up quickly. As the manga prepares for the final showdown with Lucius, the anime is also set to return and cover the exciting Spade Kingdom Raid Arc.

The anime series Black Clover began airing in 2017 and, by 2021, had adapted most of the original manga, leading to a pause in production. After a wait of over four years, the anime has been revived! The story left viewers on a major cliffhanger, with the Magic Knights gearing up for a crucial battle against the Dark Triad. Following six months of intense training, they’ve become incredibly powerful and are determined to defeat the devil hosts and rescue Yami and William.

Many fans consider the Spade Kingdom Arc to be the highlight of the manga, and anticipation is high for the anime’s next season. Although the release date is still unknown, Jump Festa 2026, happening December 20th and 21st, 2025, is promising some exciting reveals, so be sure to save those dates!
