Arc Raiders Guide – All Workbenches And How To Upgrade Them

Getting into the Workshop and building your first Workbench is just the beginning of crafting in Arc Raiders. You’ll then need to build and fully upgrade six more Workshop Stations – all the way to level three – to unlock new technologies. Keep in mind you’ll need the corresponding Blueprints to build these upgrades.

This guide is about all seven unique Workshop Stations and how they can be upgraded in Arc Raiders.

Workbench

The Workbench is the first Workshop Station you’ll unlock, and it remains useful throughout your time in Speranza, primarily as a consistent source of ammunition. However, it’s limited to level one, meaning you’ll only be able to craft basic weapons with it.

Explosives Station

Both grenades and mines are very effective against Raiders and ARC troops. The Hornet Driver will be especially useful for taking down ARC units in situations where it normally wouldn’t be possible. This Workshop Station needs Blueprints to create most of its items, so you’ll need to find those blueprints to unlock its full potential.

Level 1: Chemicals 50x, ARC Alloy 6x

Level 2: Synthesized Fuel 3x, Crude Explosives 5x, Pop Trigger 5x

Level 3: Laboratory Reagents 3x, Explosive Compound 5x, Rocketeer Driver 3x

Gear Bench

The Workshop Station is used to create better Shields and Augments, letting you upgrade from the basic gear you started with. Focus on making Shields first, because you can get the first versions of all three Augment types from Lance at the Clinic very cheaply. Just complete a successful raid to unlock the Free Loadout Augment and then upgrade it. Your main objective should be to reach level 3 as quickly as possible, allowing you to use the Looting Mk. 3 Augment and get the best gear with the highest chance of success in raids.

Level 1: Plastic Parts 25x, Fabric 30x

Level 2: Power Cable 3x, Electrical Components 5x, Hornet Driver 5x

Level 3: Industrial Battery 3x, Advanced Electrical Components 5x, Bastion Cell 6x

Gunsmith

Focus on getting the Gunsmith working first. It’s essential for crafting silencers, which will keep your raids stealthy, and other useful attachments like sights. Once you fully upgrade the Gunsmith, you’ll also be able to make your own sniper rifle.

Level 1: Metal Parts 20x, Rubber Parts 30x

Level 2: Rusted Tools 3x, Mechanical Components 5x, Wasp Driver 8x

Level 3: Rusted Gear 3x, Advanced Mechanical Components 5x, Sentinel Firing Core 4x

Medical Lab

As a player, I’ve learned it’s crucial to stock up on healing items – they’re literally what keep you in the fight! Don’t count on finding them when you’re desperate; bring plenty with you. Seriously, these consumables can save your life when you’re on the edge, and if you play with a team, the Defibrillator is a lifesaver – being able to revive fallen teammates is huge!

Level 1: Fabric 50x, ARC Alloy 6x

Level 2: Cracked Bioscanner 2x, Durable Cloth 5x, Tick Pod 8x

Level 3: Rusted Shut Medical Kit 3x, Antiseptic 8x, Surveyor Vault 5x

Refiner

You’ll want to build and upgrade your Workshop Station as soon as you can. It’s your main way to get the advanced materials you’ll need, and it’s much more efficient than trying to get them from raids. It transforms common materials into the rarer components you’ll start requiring as you progress through the game. While you can delay building it until your other stations reach level 3, you’ll definitely need it eventually to make up for any resource shortages.

Level 1: Metal Parts 60x, ARC Powercell 5x

Level 2: Toaster 3x, ARC Motion Core 5x, Fireball Burner 8x

Level 3: Motor 3x, ARC Circuitry 10x, Bombardier Cell 6x

Utility Station

The Workshop Station provides tools to help you during raids, like the Snap Hook for quickly moving around and Smoke Grenades for creating cover while you escape.

Level 1: Plastic Parts 50x, ARC Alloy 6x

Level 2: Damaged Heat Sink 2x, Electrical Components 5x, Snitch Scanner 6x

Level 3: Fried Motherboard 3x, Advanced Electrical Components 5x, Leaper Pulse Unit 4x

Here’s a complete guide to all seven Workshop Stations and how to improve them in Arc Raiders.
