Jennifer Lawrence knows every challenge has its silver linings.
Becoming a mom has been such a journey, and honestly, it’s been amazing. After welcoming my son, Cy, who’s three, and our new baby earlier this year with my husband, Cooke Moroney, I just feel so grateful for all the support I’ve received as I’ve adjusted to life as a mom again. It really makes a difference!
Jennifer shared with TopMob News that having a supportive community of other moms was incredibly important, especially when she first became a mother. At the New York premiere of Die My Love on November 1st, she explained how valuable it was to be able to connect with other women and ask simple questions like, ‘Is what I’m experiencing normal?’
As a longtime admirer, it’s so heartwarming to hear how she’s built a real support system. She’s shared that it’s been the everyday connections – chatting with other moms at the park, joining mommy-and-me classes, and later, getting to know the parents at her son’s school – that have really helped her along the way. It’s lovely to know she finds strength in those simple, relatable moments.
Jennifer, who stars with Robert Pattinson in the new film Die My Love premiering November 7th, shared that she drew on personal experiences to portray her character, Grace.
Looking back on her life and the strong support she received from her community, she realized how easily she could have become isolated and how damaging that would have been to her mental health.
I always felt Jennifer really got what going through motherhood was like, which made her advice so valuable. It helped that she and her husband, Cooke—who runs an art gallery—went through it themselves back in 2019. She just seemed to naturally understand the whole emotional journey.
Becoming a mom gave me a new understanding and awareness. I now see things from a child’s point of view, something I wouldn’t have considered before. Constantly thinking about and caring for my child has made me much more attuned to others and their feelings.
Jennifer also pointed out that becoming a mother impacts her work in many ways, not just during filming. She explained, “It affects things like when I have time to review scripts – it really changes how everything works.”

The No Hard Feelings actress further reflected on the way parenthood had reshaped her life.
Becoming a parent completely transforms your life,” the award-winning actor shared with reporters at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in May. “It’s both incredibly challenging and amazing. My children now factor into every work decision I make – what projects I take, where I film, and when I’m available.
Honestly, I was surprised by how deeply I could feel, and it’s all tied to what I do. This work has truly opened my eyes to a whole new world. It’s a strange sensation, almost like being incredibly sensitive, like a fresh blister. It’s definitely changed my life for the better, and I feel like it’s unlocked a new level of creativity within me.
