Popular Steam Game from 2024 Finally Releases on Xbox and PlayStation

PC gamers frequently get to play new games first, especially smaller independent titles that often appear on Steam before being released on consoles. This has often been true for games from Coffee Stain Studios, the creators of the popular Goat Simulator series. Their latest popular game, Satisfactory, was initially available in an early, unfinished form on Steam in 2019, and officially launched on Steam in 2024. Now, players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S can finally enjoy this award-winning game.

Satisfactory is a game where you build and manage a factory, but it also includes elements of exploration and fighting. You’ll expand your factory while gathering resources from the planet around you. It offers a satisfying gameplay experience with both creative automation and engaging adventures. After a successful year on PC, Satisfactory is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 4th.

What’s New with the Console Release of Satisfactory

The PC version of Satisfactory has been highly praised, earning a score of 91/100 on Metacritic and an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ rating on Steam. It even won a 2024 Golden Joystick award for ‘PC Game of the Year.’ Now, Satisfactory is coming to PlayStation and Xbox, bringing this popular game to even more players. The console versions also include some new features that will be added to the next big update for all platforms.

The good news is that Satisfactory will let players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S play with those on PC when it launches. This means friends can build and automate factories together, even if they’re using different platforms.

In addition to a key new feature, Satisfactory now offers improved controls designed for Xbox and PlayStation controllers. Adapting a complex simulation game like this for consoles can be challenging, and the developers at Coffee Stain have focused on making the experience smooth for new platforms. Players can also customize performance with three graphics presets: Quality (30 FPS), Balanced (40 FPS), and Performance (60 FPS). Plus, cloud saves let you continue your progress on any device where you play Satisfactory.

The game will be improved specifically for each platform. Xbox players will benefit from features like Game Suspend and enhanced online presence. PlayStation 5 owners will get a more immersive experience thanks to the DualSense controller, with features like realistic vibrations and sound through the controller itself.

Just because Satisfactory is finally on consoles doesn’t mean the devs are done with it! Now that the console port is out thanks to the team at Fishlabs, Coffee Stain is already working on Update 1.2. They’re committed to supporting the game on all platforms – PC and consoles – so we can all expect more cool stuff and improvements down the line. It’s awesome to know the game is getting continued support!

As of November 4th, the game Satisfactory is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99. It’s also still available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store at the same price.
