Kathy Griffin Shows Off Abs in Red Bikini for 65th Birthday

Kathy Griffin is revealing her life on the toned list.

The comedian proudly showed off her physique while celebrating her 65th birthday in a red bikini on the November 4th episode of her show, Sherri.

Kathy confidently performed on stage, entertaining the audience, then playfully announced she was showing off her cellulite.

“Girl what!” host Sherri Shepherd exclaimed, to which Kathy quipped, “I have no shame.”

Kathy Griffin then put on a blue robe, explaining it had belonged to her late friend and mentor, Joan Rivers, before sitting down next to Sherri, who was very impressed with her.

“I wanted to tell you how great you look,” the 58-year-old said excitedly, “taking care of your health is the best gift you can give yourself, and it really shows!”

Kathy was touched by Sherri’s remarks, noting, “If nothing else, I have balls.”

Kathy isn’t afraid to be confident and show off her physique on television. She also recently revealed she’s open to finding love again after divorcing Randy Bick in 2023, following a three-year marriage.

She confessed she was using four dating apps: Raya, Hinge, Bumble, and one called Elite Singles. She admitted she wasn’t even sure what ‘Elite Singles’ meant, but she liked the sound of the name.

Even though she’s famous, Kathy struggled to get accepted onto Raya, a dating app popular with celebrities. She even said she needed to ask a younger person, someone from Gen Z, to help her get in.

The moment she joined the app, she connected with John Mayer, whom Kathy playfully described as having a lot of dating experience.

She said she got John’s number and sent him a text, introducing herself as his ‘old pal Kathy Griffin.’ Knowing he doesn’t like her, she continued, ‘We matched on Raya, and let’s just say I’m generous on a first date.’

I’ve been following this situation closely, and Kathy – she was married to Matt Moline before – told me something interesting. She sent Matt a message, and he has a setting on his phone that shows when it’s been read. Apparently, he did see it, but he didn’t bother replying. She actually said he was being smart about it, and joked that it was the first time he’d acted that way!

But she didn’t leave it there, revealing that she texted him again about a month later.

She told him she’d said, “Honestly, it was a good thing you didn’t respond, because I would have definitely talked about it on The Sherri Shepherd Show. “

Although John didn’t reply to Kathy, we’re taking a closer look at his unexpected dating past.

Although their romance didn’t last long, people say Mayer wrote his popular song “Your Body Is a Wonderland” – the second single from his first album, Room for Squares – because of it.

The album was released in 2001, and Hewitt didn’t start dating Mayer until 2002, meaning the initial assumptions were incorrect from the start. However, people continued to connect the two events.

In 2007, actress Jennifer Hewitt told EW.com that she didn’t see her body as perfect. She described it as more of a ‘pawnshop’ – full of interesting parts, but not immediately striking. She joked that while it might be appealing upon closer inspection, it didn’t make a strong first impression.

During an interview on the podcast Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum, the 9-1-1 star clarified that the rumors weren’t true, at least not to her knowledge. However, she admitted she was pleased people thought so, calling it “a real compliment.”

John Mayer shared on VH1 Storytellers that the song was inspired by his first girlfriend, whom he dated around age 14. He initially titled it “Strawberry Wonderland.”

Following her divorce from Nick Lachey, Jessica Simpson enjoyed a period of freedom and romance. Her relationship with John Mayer, which ended around 2007, became widely discussed, particularly after Mayer’s controversial 2010 interview with Playboy. He described their sexual chemistry in shockingly graphic terms, comparing her to “crack cocaine” and “sexual napalm.”

Simpson called the comment rude, and Mayer later regretted making it. She explained on The View in 2010 that the most embarrassing part was noticing more men staring at her afterward. She added, jokingly, that Mayer would never experience that level of attention again.

In April 2020, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live!, Mayer acknowledged knowing that Simpson had written a memoir. Quoting the film Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, he said, “I don’t have to watch it, Dottie. I lived it,” implying he had firsthand experience with the events described.

After his relationship with Jessica Simpson ended in 2007, Mayer was briefly connected to actress Cameron Diaz, who was known for her fun-loving lifestyle before marrying Benji Madden.

Having recently ended her relationship with Justin Timberlake, she decided to have some fun and was playfully flirtatious with Mayer while in New York City.

The actor from Friday Night Lights stayed friends with the singer even though they briefly explored a romantic connection in late 2007, and both preferred to keep things low-key.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer briefly dated between 2008 and 2009, with their relationship starting and stopping around the time of the annual Oscars. After their first breakup that summer, Mayer publicly announced the split in a somewhat unusual way – he told a group of paparazzi outside his gym that he was the one who had ended the relationship.

Jennifer Aniston responded to her ex’s public discussion of their breakup in a recent interview with Vogue. She explained that he felt the need to publicly state they had split, especially given their history. She understands the situation, acknowledging everyone makes mistakes, but also feels protective of both him and their past relationship. She’s confident he won’t repeat that behavior. Despite the pain of realizing they needed to go their separate ways, she emphasized that they still care deeply for each other and there was no negativity involved. They remain close and continue to talk and support each other.

The couple did get back together, but their reconciliation was over by March 2009. In a later interview with Playboy, Mayer expressed regret that the relationship didn’t work out. He admitted he sometimes wished he could still be with her, but ultimately felt he needed to focus on his own life and personal growth at that stage.

He announced on Twitter that he was writing a song he hoped to perform with Taylor Swift, who was 19 at the time. In a March 2009 post, he explained he’d been thinking about the song for three days straight, a sign he felt it was worth finishing. He called the song ‘Half of My Heart’ and imagined a collaboration where Swift would embody the spirit of Stevie Nicks to his Tom Petty, creating a dynamic pairing.

There weren’t any plans for a long-term collaboration, but they did record the song “Half of My Heart” together for his 2009 album, Battle Studies, which was released in November. They also shared the stage for several live performances.

Taylor Swift clarified to the public that she was the one who ended the relationship.

In a 2012 interview with Rolling Stone, John Mayer said he was deeply hurt by Taylor Swift’s 2010 song “Dear John,” which criticized a man’s manipulative behavior. He felt he didn’t deserve the song, stating he’s now good at taking responsibility and hadn’t done anything to warrant it, calling it a “lousy thing” for her to do. While Swift never confirmed the song was about Mayer, she previously hinted before its release that listeners would easily figure out who the song was about.

He added that he hadn’t received any email or phone call about it, and was completely surprised. He felt deeply humiliated, especially since he was already feeling bad. He asked, “Imagine being at your absolute lowest point, and then someone just makes things even worse – how would that feel?”

But things would soon start looking up!

In 2013, Perry told W magazine that she was dating John Mayer, whom she began seeing in 2012 after her divorce from Russell Brand. She admitted she’d had a crush on him for quite a while.

They had broken up and gotten back together before, but their relationship finally ended for good in 2015.

However, they were genuinely a couple, and though Perry eventually found happiness – though it had its ups and downs – with Orlando Bloom until their breakup in 2025, Mayer needed some time to himself and ended up feeling a little resentful.

When the New York Times asked in 2017 if his song “Still Feel Like Your Man” was about Perry, he responded, “Who else would I even be writing about?” He added that he hadn’t dated many people in the past five or six years, and that Perry was his only relationship during that time, playfully asking people to acknowledge that.

In 2018, after Halsey and John Mayer playfully flirted online, sparking rumors of a romance, Halsey clarified that just because there was a connection didn’t mean it would become a relationship. This came shortly after she had broken up with G-Eazy for the second time.

They posted a surprising thought online as rumors spread: “What if we allowed female artists to have male friends without immediately jumping to the conclusion they’re in a relationship? I know it sounds radical, but imagine if we actually tried!”
