Everybody wants to see more of Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.
Just under a month after season two of Nobody Wants This became available on Netflix, the streaming service announced it will be renewed for a third season.
On November 4th, Kristen, who plays Joanne, surprised her costars – Adam (Noah), Justine Lupe (Morgan), Jackie Thon (Esther), and Timothy Simons (Sasha) – with exciting news via individual video calls: the romantic comedy had been renewed for a third season! After everyone celebrated, the Good Place actress called the show’s creator, Erin Foster, to share the announcement, but the conversation didn’t go quite as planned and ended up being quite funny.
“I already knew that, and I think I mentioned it before,” Erin said to Kristen on their video call. “You’re not contacting the cast members, are you? I feel like that might be something I should be handling.”
In response, Kristen coyly replied, “No.”
Netflix announced some exciting news: Kristen Bell surprised the cast of “Nobody Wants This” with confirmation that the show is coming back for a third season!
It’s understandable that Kristen and Adam, both 45, are thrilled to return as the host of the sex and relationships podcast and the rabbi, respectively.

The actress, known for Veronica Mars, had previously said she pushed for the The O.C. actor to play her love interest on the show. She felt they had great chemistry after working together on projects like season two of House of Lies and the 2013 movie Some Girls.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kristen joked that she warned the producers they might need ice packs after watching some of the scenes between her and Adam. She explained that their chemistry relied on a simple ability: both she and Adam were good at giving a dreamy, vacant stare.

Adam shared a similar feeling, also mentioning that he and Kristen are friends when they’re not working together. He recently spent time with her and her daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10, on a trip to the Sloomoo Institute in New York City. Kristen shares her daughters with her husband, Dax Shepard.
In a video released by Netflix on October 29th, Adam told Kristen they had taken their kids to the slime museum and that it was still thriving.
