The Grammy Awards celebrate musicians every year, recognizing both major achievements like Album, Song, and Artist of the Year, and highlighting talent across various genres like pop, electronic, R&B, country, jazz, and Latin music. It’s an event where artists come together to celebrate not just the finished product, but the entire journey of creating music.
Chappell, currently announcing nominees for the awards show, won Best New Artist at last year’s ceremony – her very first time attending. Her quick success in 2024 might seem sudden, but she’d been working hard for years. In her acceptance speech, she spoke about the financial struggles many up-and-coming artists face.
Chappell explained that if she ever won a Grammy and had the chance to speak to industry leaders, she would ask record labels and the music industry to provide fair wages and healthcare for artists, particularly those just starting out. She believes those profiting from artists should ensure they can earn a decent living.

Chappell’s speech received a standing ovation from the other nominees, including rising stars Benson Boone and Taylor Swift.
As a lifestyle expert, I always look forward to the annual awards show – it’s such a fantastic platform for both up-and-coming artists and established legends. Last year was a particularly special moment, watching Beyoncé absolutely shine for her incredible album, Cowboy Carter. It earned her a Country Album of the Year win – a historic first for a Black woman – and, amazingly, her very first Album of the Year Grammy! With 35 Grammys already, she truly continues to break records and inspire us all.
Honestly, winning Album of the Year was incredibly moving! After all these years, it felt amazing to be recognized. I really wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to the Recording Academy, and especially to all the talented songwriters and producers who poured their hearts and hard work into this project. It truly takes a village, and I’m so thankful for everyone involved.
