Wow, 2025 has been incredible for anime! It really kicked into high gear over the last four months, starting with the Demon Slayer movie, then Chainsaw Man, and Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution – which was a cool recap of season two and a sneak peek at what’s coming next. But something else slipped onto the scene that I’ve been eagerly waiting for! Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 quietly premiered in theaters, and because it was only shown in a few places – Japan, and a few screenings in places like Los Angeles and South Korea – fans have been desperate for a way to watch it. Thankfully, it was announced in September that it’s finally getting a wider release!
Great news for anime fans! The new series from Tatsuki Fujimoto is now streaming on Amazon Prime, starting November 8th. While it was announced with a theatrical release, the launch didn’t get much attention, so you might have missed it. Amazon Prime celebrated the release with a special 17-minute, 26-second video showcasing highlights from all eight episodes. Now that the full anthology is available, it’s the perfect time to start watching and enjoy this amazing series!
Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 Is Now Available To Stream on Amazon Prime
I recently watched Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26, a really interesting eight-episode animated series. What makes it special is that it’s a collaboration between six different animation studios and seven directors! Each episode adapts a short story Tatsuki Fujimoto – the creator of Chainsaw Man – wrote between the ages of 17 and 26, before he started working on his biggest hit. Because each studio handled a different episode, they all have a unique look and feel, just like the original stories. Fujimoto is already known for his creative storytelling, especially within the action genre, and this series really showcases that.
If you enjoy Chainsaw Man and the work of creator Tatsuki Fujimoto, this new anime is a great choice. The series is made up of short episodes, between 12 and 20 minutes each, totaling about two and a half hours of content. Each episode is packed with surprising twists and engaging stories, making it perfect to watch all at once. It’s similar in style to Love, Death & Robots on Netflix, with each installment offering a unique and different feel. This anime is shaping up to be one of the best releases of 2025, and it’s also a fantastic way for people new to anime to see what the medium has to offer.
