Strictly Come Dancing’s special show from Blackpool is all set! The full lineup has been revealed after another celebrity and their professional partner were eliminated from the competition last night (Sunday, November 16th).
This week’s results show featured a group performance by the Strictly Come Dancing professionals and Diversity, along with a performance by Olly Murs, before revealing how the public voted.
Viewers and the judges both felt the same way about the dances this week, resulting in Balvinder Sopal & Julian Caillon and Vicky Pattison & Kai Widdrington facing elimination in the dance off.
Balvinder and Julian danced their American Smooth to Mary Wells’ “My Guy,” and then Vicky and Kai took the floor with a Jive to Girls Aloud’s “Sound of the Underground.”
The judges—Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, and Anton Du Beke—all decided to keep Balvinder and Julian in the competition. Craig Revel Horwood agreed he would have made the same choice if he’d had a vote.
Balvinder and Julian advanced to Blackpool, but unfortunately, Vicky and Kai were eliminated.
After learning the news, Vicky told Tess that she’d really enjoyed her time on the show and had a wonderful experience. She admitted the latest week was challenging, but she’d given it her all, just as she had every week. She also confessed she hadn’t expected to make it past the first week.
I’m truly honored to have gone through this with such wonderful people, especially Kai. I don’t want to sound too sentimental, but Kai, you’ve been the most incredible partner anyone could ask for. I’m really sorry we didn’t make it to Blackpool, but honestly, just having you as my partner feels like a win, and I’m so thankful.
Kai continued, saying, “Wow, where do I even begin? Vicky, you perfectly embody everything this show stands for. You’re strong, confident, and independent, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed watching you every step of the way.”
I’m so disappointed I can’t join you in Blackpool on Monday. But I feel incredibly lucky to have you as my partner, and you’ll always be remembered as a Strictly legend.
Joining Balvinder in Blackpool are celebrities Amber Davies, Lewis Cope, Alex Kingston, La Voix, Karen Carney, and George Clarke.
