The popular anime series streaming on Crunchyroll is nearing its conclusion next year, and a new trailer offers a first glimpse of the final arc. Crunchyroll has become a major player in anime streaming, fueled by the recent surge in anime’s popularity, but the service has been working to achieve this level of success for quite some time. Early on, a key strategy for Crunchyroll was securing exclusive rights to highly anticipated shows, and one series from Shonen Jump especially benefited from this approach.
Crunchyroll played a key role in launching Dr. Stone, and the anime is nearing its conclusion. After eight years, Dr. Stone: Science Future has released a trailer for its final episodes, giving fans a preview of the series’ exciting finale. You can watch the trailer below.
The anime series Dr. Stone: New World began airing earlier this year and has already shown two seasons. Now, it’s preparing to release its final season in three parts, bringing the story to a close. Throughout the series, Senku Ishigami and the Kingdom of Science have been traveling the globe, gathering resources to rebuild civilization. They’ve faced challenges and even encountered a competing scientist along the way. However, these final episodes promise a new and different direction for the story.
Senku and his friends are determined to reach space to discover the origin of the strange voice that’s been heard throughout the series, and they believe it holds the key to solving everything. However, the latest trailer for Dr. Stone: Science Future hasn’t revealed when the final episodes will be released, only that they’re expected sometime next year.
How Is Dr. Stone Going to End?

Dr. Stone stands out from many series published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. When the manga finished in 2022, the ending surprised many readers. Unlike other stories, Dr. Stone didn’t really have a single, overarching goal. While Senku and his friends faced various enemies, Senku’s main purpose was simply to revive people in the petrified world, rather than achieve a specific victory or defeat a final boss.
The series finale is likely to spark debate among fans, as it doesn’t offer the neat, tidy conclusion many might expect. However, it remains one of the strongest endings seen in Shonen Jump titles this decade, though how satisfying viewers find it will likely differ. It will be interesting to see how the anime adaptation handles it next year.
