With the current season of Strictly Come Dancing underway, many viewers are already wondering who will take over from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman when they eventually leave their roles as hosts.
Alan Carr is being talked about as a possible replacement for a certain role, especially after his recent win on the first season of The Celebrity Traitors, which has boosted his popularity.
Comedian Jimmy Carr’s show, Changing Ends, is coming back for a third season on November 23rd. In a new interview with TopMob magazine, he discussed the rumors about him possibly becoming a judge on Strictly Come Dancing.
Carr said he’s been considered as a potential host, which he’s flattered by, but hasn’t had any discussions with the BBC. He joked about how nervous he gets, imagining himself performing live on Saturday nights – he fears he’d sweat so much the audience would slip while dancing!
He continued: “It’s lovely to be thought of, but it’s probably a bit too nerve-racking.”

It seems Carr probably won’t host the show next season, but he hasn’t completely said no, so there’s still a chance he could return.
Other names being discussed as possible hosts include Janette Manrara and Fleur East, Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, Rylan Clark, Emma Willis, and Graham Norton.

Alan Carr’s comedy series, Changing Ends, tells the story of his childhood. The show is based on his own life, and features Carr appearing alongside Oliver Savell, who portrays him as a young boy.
This new season will see a new character, Jake, join the show, who Alan finds he has a crush on.
Alan has a crush, and the series follows whether he’ll keep it a secret or reveal his feelings. Either way, things will be complicated! He’s already dealing with all the awkwardness of being a teenager – things like sleepovers, swimming lessons, and hanging out with friends, both boys and girls – and now this crush adds another layer of difficulty.
Things aren’t entirely hopeless for Alan, as some surprising new friends offer him a reason to be optimistic, and they live surprisingly close by.
You can watch The Celebrity Traitors on BBC iPlayer. Changing Ends is on ITV1 and ITVX, with new episodes starting Sunday, November 23rd. And Strictly Come Dancing is back on BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday, November 22nd at 6:35pm.
