Xbox Partner Showcase to be Announced “Very Soon” – Rumour

Microsoft is expected to announce a new lineup of games for Xbox consoles soon. Reliable sources indicate they’re planning a special event, called a Partner Showcase, to reveal several third-party games coming to Xbox Series X/S. The event will likely also highlight games available on the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handhelds through the Xbox Play Anywhere program, letting players continue their games across devices.

NateTheHate hinted on social media that an Xbox Partner Showcase announcement is coming very soon, potentially as early as November. He also suggested that a major focus of the showcase will be updates on the Silent Hill 2 remake.

It’s unclear exactly when “very soon” will be, but Microsoft is likely to officially announce an Xbox Partner Showcase this week. Reports suggest the event will happen either later this week or sometime next week, before the end of November.

Okay, so I was checking around, and it looks like the Silent Hill 2 remake might be coming out on November 21st! Apparently, someone spotted it listed on the Microsoft Store’s system. There’s even a Deluxe Edition planned with extras like a digital art book and the soundtrack. It seems like it could be an Xbox Play Anywhere game, meaning I could play it on both my Xbox Series X/S and PC, or at the very least, there will be a PC version available on the store.

So, back in October, people started buzzing about a possible Silent Hill 2 remake coming to Xbox Series X/S. It all started when some changes were spotted on the game’s website – specifically, empty spaces where the platforms would normally be listed. Everyone figured those spots were just waiting to be filled in once the Xbox release was officially announced, and honestly, it seemed pretty likely!

Rumors gained traction when a listing for Silent Hill 2 on Xbox Series X/S appeared on the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) website.

It’s almost certain that Silent Hill 2 is coming to Xbox Series X/S, and fans are also wondering about its downloadable content, Born from a Wish. Although Bloober Team hasn’t officially said anything about the DLC, a narrative designer named Grzegorz Like hinted at its existence. We might find out more about Born from a Wish around the time the Return to Silent Hill movie—which is based on Silent Hill 2—comes out in theaters.

Konami announced that the remake of Silent Hill 2, released last year on PlayStation 5 and PC, has sold over 2.5 million copies globally. They also shared that the entire Silent Hill series has reached a total of 13 million copies sold since its launch in 1999.
