Game Boy Game Coming to Nintendo Switch Next Week Is For Zelda Fans

Next week, on November 25, 2025, a game originally made for Game Boy is coming to Nintendo Switch. Fans of The Legend of Zelda, particularly Link’s Awakening, will be excited to hear about it. The new game draws heavy inspiration from that classic Zelda title, featuring a similar retro art style and gameplay focused on exploring dungeons, uncovering secrets, and adventuring.

The game Glory Hunters, developed by 2Think Design Studio and Ogre Pixels, is coming to Nintendo Switch. Though it originally launched as a brand-new Game Boy game in 2024, this will be its first appearance on the Switch. Currently, there are no plans for a version on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, but the Switch version will work on that console thanks to its backward compatibility features.

About the Game

Glory Hunters isn’t just a trip down memory lane for Game Boy fans; it’s a genuinely interesting game. You advance by completing achievements, which earn you points to unlock new areas and progress through the game world.

A huge threat is heading towards Earth, and a call goes out for heroes to answer. Knights and warriors from across the globe travel to ancient, sacred ships, hoping the gods will grant them power to fight back. These brave individuals are known as Glory Hunters. With the sky ablaze, signaling the end of the world, it’s up to you to find one of four divine vessels and save the land of Glorianta.

You can now pre-order the new Nintendo Switch game on the Nintendo eShop and get 15% off! That brings the price down from $9.99 to just $8.49. Currently, this 2024 Game Boy-inspired game is only confirmed to be releasing on the Nintendo Switch, making it a Switch exclusive when it launches later this month.
