Liev Schreiber is prioritizing his health.
According to TMZ, the actor from Perfect Couple was admitted to the hospital on November 16th after experiencing a severe headache. He stayed overnight and had several tests performed.
I’m hearing that Liev Schreiber recently took a precautionary trip to the hospital for some tests. Thankfully, everything checked out, and his representative confirmed to People magazine on November 17th that he’s been given the all-clear to get back to work. It’s always good to prioritize health, and we’re glad to hear he’s doing well!
Liev Schreiber, known for his role in Ray Donovan, recently experienced a bad migraine but recovered quickly. However, he’s described a previous migraine in 2024 – while acting in the Broadway play Doubt: A Parable – that caused him to forget both his lines and the name of his co-star, Amy Ryan, during a performance.
Liev Schreiber described a strange experience he has after performing a play. Appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers in April 2024, he explained that everything he’s learned for the role immediately disappears. He finds himself staring out at the dark theater, aware he’s in a play but completely forgetting the lines or even what play it is. He once looked down and realized he was dressed as a priest, which gave him a clue but didn’t help him remember his dialogue.
Once Liev left the stage and his understudy continued the show, he said his wife, Taylor Niesen, and a doctor friend came to his dressing room, and both of them looked really scared.
“I think , ‘Okay I’ve had a stroke,’” the 58-year-old explained. “‘This is it.’”

An MRI scan quickly showed there was no bleeding in the brain. Liev joked that the technician even commented it was a “fairly good looking brain.”
I was so worried when I heard about the actor’s memory issues, but thankfully, a neurologist figured it out! He has something called transient global amnesia, or TGA – it’s really rare, and causes temporary short-term memory loss. Apparently, things like really intense workouts, stress, even bad headaches, or suddenly jumping into cold or hot water can sometimes bring it on. It’s a relief to know there was a medical explanation!
Thankfully, the actor just needed some good rest.
Liev Schreiber told Seth Meyers that he used to rehearse the entire play in his head every day. Before each afternoon performance, he’d call the theater to confirm he still knew all the lines, just to be sure. He said that simple check always worked, and he never had any issues with remembering the play again.

She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

He described a persistent tingling sensation, saying, ‘Even now, bringing my knees to my chest, it still feels tingly, which is really strange.’ He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was squatting 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a squat or stand on one leg without falling. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

I was so shocked to hear that my friend and former castmate Gina Kirschenheiter’s ex-husband, Matt, had a heart attack back in March of last year. Thankfully, he pulled through, and I’m sending all my best to both of them.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its downsides, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier,” she was surprised when doctors began commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome due to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted her to realize she’d received steroid injections following a breast reduction and C-section. Schumer explained that she wouldn’t have known about the condition, Cushing syndrome, without the online commentary. She recently shared that learning her type of Cushing syndrome would resolve on its own and that she was healthy was fantastic news.

In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially struggling to respond when Justin asked if she was okay. She then found she couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop.
Although the symptoms eventually subsided, Hailey went to the hospital where doctors discovered she had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).
Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled to her brain through this opening, causing the TIA.
Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also went through a difficult time. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary and unexpected, but reassuring everyone that he would be okay and was grateful he was on the mend.

As a huge fan, I was so worried when I heard about Jamie Foxx’s health scare last year. He kept things pretty quiet at first, but he finally shared what happened in his new Netflix special, and it was incredibly moving. He described having a terrible headache in Atlanta and asking for aspirin, but then he just… went out. He actually didn’t remember the next twenty days! Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but thankfully, his sister Deidra realized something was seriously wrong and took him to the hospital. They discovered he’d had a brain bleed that caused a stroke. It was twenty days after surgery when he finally woke up, on May 4th, and he couldn’t even walk – he was in a wheelchair. He had to go to Chicago for a long period of rehab and therapy to get back on his feet. He’s so grateful for all the prayers he received, and honestly, it’s clear he needed them. It was a scary time, and I’m just so glad to see him doing better and sharing his story.

The reality TV star shared that she temporarily stopped breathing while running in the first challenge of the NBC competition show.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but she then experienced light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
After being rushed to the hospital and undergoing a brain scan, doctors diagnosed her with a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding in the space around the brain. She had suffered an aneurysm, a rupture in an artery.
Clarke underwent immediate surgery to repair the aneurysm, describing the pain as excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently. Fortunately, the aphasia subsided after a week, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month.
However, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, causing a massive bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Thankfully, Emilia Clarke is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. She explained that while she could have gone home after the stroke, she was also dealing with complications from lupus and kidney problems.
Fortunately, Cori is now recovering well. She says she’s feeling great and has been working on regaining some motor skills, but is otherwise doing fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she revealed she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue – unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours – and persistent stomach pain. She faced confusion due to conflicting diagnoses from various doctors.
Choosing to keep the specific condition private, Shailene embarked on a decade-long quest for answers, combining traditional medical advice with holistic and herbal remedies. This difficult physical experience led to anxieties around food and deeper issues with body image, identity, and self-acceptance.
Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental well-being, Shailene has fully recovered and is now very healthy. She expressed gratitude for being able to say that her health journey ultimately led to a positive outcome.
