Resident Evil Requiem DLC Reportedly Already in the Works

Capcom is apparently already developing downloadable content (DLC) for Resident Evil Requiem, even before the game comes out in February. They previously supported Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village with several DLC packs, expanding the stories and gameplay of those titles. Now, with Requiem scheduled for early 2026, it seems Capcom intends to do the same – continuing to add content and support the game after its initial release.

According to reliable insider Dusk Golem, downloadable content (DLC) for Resident Evil Requiem is reportedly in development. The DLC will focus on Alyssa Ashcroft, the mother of the game’s main character, Grace Ashcroft. The story of Requiem begins with Alyssa’s death, which sets Grace’s journey in motion. Currently, Dusk Golem has information about only this one piece of DLC.

If this information is accurate, this downloadable content likely sets the stage for the events of Resident Evil Requiem. Unless the main game unexpectedly brings Alyssa Ashcroft back to life, this expansion probably takes place sometime before Requiem, possibly months or even years earlier. There’s also a chance this DLC could connect to Resident Evil Outbreak, the spin-off game where Alyssa Ashcroft was first introduced.

Capcom hasn’t officially announced any downloadable content (DLC) for Resident Evil Requiem yet, but many expect it to happen. We’ll likely get more details about potential expansions closer to their release, as Capcom plans to host another Resident Evil showcase in early 2026.

The newest Resident Evil game, Requiem, is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
