New Black Panther Story Is Bringing Back One of the Best to Ever Do It

One of the greatest writers of all time is returning to celebrate T’Challa’s 60th anniversary.

Marvel Comics announced that a special issue celebrating Black Panther’s 60th anniversary will be released in February. The issue will include several stories from popular writers and artists, including a new tale by Christopher Priest. Priest’s story will revisit the time when Magneto ruled Genosha, and feature a showdown between Black Panther and Magneto.

Black Panther 60th Anniversary Special

The Black Panther 60th Anniversary Special will feature stories from several creative teams. Writer Evan Narcisse and artist George Jeanty will focus on Kasper Cole – a surprising Black Panther – and his quest to find the missing T’Challa. Murewa Ayodele and Eder Messias will explore Storm’s personal memories of T’Challa, and Cody Ziglar and Alitha E. Martinez will team up Black Panther and Blue Marvel in a new adventure.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Black Panther, Marvel is releasing a special issue alongside a new four-part series called Black Panther: Intergalactic. Written by Victor LaValle with art by Stefano Nesi, Black Panther: Intergalactic continues the story after the Imperial event, where T’Challa ventured into space and encountered a wide range of cosmic characters – both heroes and villains.

A new chapter is starting for Marvel’s Black Panther, but one story is about to finish. The final issue of Ultimate Black Panther will be released in January, bringing a surprising and epic storyline to a close. The story culminates in a battle between T’Challa and the Progenitors, with the fate of Wakanda, Vibranium, and the world hanging in the balance. The mysterious “Child of Light” will also play a crucial role. This makes Ultimate Black Panther only the second series in the Ultimate line to end before the overall conclusion with Ultimate Endgame.

The Black Panther 60th Anniversary Special goes on sale in February from Marvel Comics.
