On August 6, the additional content for “Castle Crashers” titled “Painter Boss Paradise” will be available for download on Steam for personal computers at a price of $3.99, as announced by its creators, The Behemoth.
As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to share that Dan Paladin, co-founder and art director of The Behemoth, mentioned in a recent announcement: “You’ve got the freedom to craft your unique weapon art within Castle Crashers! We thought you’d appreciate this feature.” Customize it to suit your style, while leveraging the stats from any weapon available in the game!
Here is an overview of the content, via The Behemoth:
About
For the first time in 13 years, “Painter Boss Paradise” is now available as downloadable content for Castle Crashers. This update offers an array of additional features such as fresh artwork for all playable characters, weapons, and maps. Notably, it fulfills a long-standing request from fans by introducing the option to create custom characters within Castle Crashers.
To help players prepare for the game launch, the independent studio has shared a tutorial video on creating characters and provided the official template for custom designs. Players can use this template to create their own characters, which they can then download and update their in-game appearance with, offering a variety of angles for character customization upon saving the file to their computer.
Enthusiasts are bound to be thrilled to discover an extra layer added to the earlier unveiled customization features: personalized weapons! This feature, often demanded by players, will give them additional opportunities to tailor their game characters according to their preferences. Once a character is created, players can elect to distribute their designs globally via Steam Workshop, or even share with friends who are playing the downloadable content together, regardless of whether they own the DLC or not!
