The beloved cooperative game, Castle Crashers, is finally getting a fresh DLC after over a decade. The release date for Castle Crasher’s Painter Boss Paradise has been revealed through a new trailer. Unlike previous DLCs that introduced new characters, weapons, and pets, this expansion offers much more and allows the community to have greater input.
On August 6th, the “Castle Crasher’s Painter Boss Paradise” DLC will be available, enriching the game with a wealth of fresh content. Players stand to gain a new character in the form of Paint Junior, but they also have the exciting opportunity to craft their very own unique characters. These personal creations can then be shared with others through Steam Workshop. In anticipation of the DLC launch, The Behemoth has already made available a template for fans to start developing their characters right away.
Users are given the choice to either publish their crafted works on Steam or keep them private for personal play. Utilizing The Behemoth’s template significantly streamlines character creation, allowing users to customize various aspects such as head, body, weapon, shield, portrait, muscular form, and Back Off Barbarian artwork. Since the template has been shared prematurely, fans can anticipate a diverse array of user-generated characters at launch.
Alongside this development, the game “Castle Crashers” is getting a facelift across its entirety to mark the spotlight on the DLC’s Painter Boss. This makeover encompasses every official character and weapon, the main menu, and map art as well. With these changes, “Castle Crashers” will boast a more stunning appearance than ever before.
Currently, the “Castle Crashes Painter Boss Paradise” expansion pack can be obtained exclusively on Steam. As of now, The Behemoth has not revealed if this DLC will be released for Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch platforms. It’s important to note that the DLC is compatible only with the “Castle Crashers Remastered” version, so make sure you own the correct version before making a purchase.
