Fear Reaches New Heights In Poster For Kelsey Grammer’s New Hot Air Balloon Thriller

Kelsey Grammer steps away from his familiar, comforting role in Frasier and into a suspenseful psychological thriller called Turbulence. The film, directed by Claudio Fäh (known for Sniper: Reloaded and Sniper: Ultimate Kill) and written by Andy Mayson (who previously worked on Kenny Dalglish and Sweetness), starts as a romantic getaway but quickly turns into a frightening ordeal, all set aboard a hot air balloon.

Zach (Jeremy Irvine, known from Outlander: Blood of my Blood) and Emmy (Hera Hilmar, from See) are enjoying a hot air balloon ride when someone from Zach’s past unexpectedly appears. This encounter is just the beginning of a dangerous fight for survival high in the sky. Grammer stars as Harry, and Olga Kurylenko (Thunderbolts) completes the main cast as Julia.

Here’s a look at the new poster for Turbulence, coming to theaters December 12th. The film is brought to you by Lionsgate and Grindstone Entertainment Group. Read on for more details!

A Closer Look At The New Turbulence Poster

The film Turbulence uses its stunning natural locations to make its story more powerful, contrasting the excitement of adventure with the dread of things going wrong. The director has likened it to suspenseful classics like Dead Calm and Knife in the Water, as well as the recent film Fall, all of which place characters who love the outdoors in dangerous situations.

The released photos and trailer clearly show the intense pressure building inside the small balloon, lost in the huge sky. David Strathairn isn’t the only actor known for different kinds of roles; Mark Irvine recently gained popularity playing Claire’s father in the Outlander prequel. Now, he’s facing danger in the air instead of the past, but the stakes are just as high. While we don’t yet know what will happen to Zach and Emmy, one thing is certain: Turbulence will keep both the characters and the audience on the edge of their seats.
