Iconic ’90s sitcom receives first look at 30th anniversary reunion special as cast unites to celebrate

CBS has revealed a first look at the new Everybody Loves Raymond reunion special.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the beloved sitcom, the cast is getting back together for a special that will air on CBS November 24th at 8pm. It will also be available to stream on Paramount+.

Ray Romano, the show’s star, and Phil Rosenthal, who created the series, will host a special celebrating the anniversary. Cast members like Brad Garrett, Patricia Heaton, Monica Horan, Madylin Sweeten, and Sullivan Sweeten will also make appearances.

The actors will reminisce about their most beloved episodes filmed in the Barone family living room, and they’ll share stories from auditions and other fun moments from making the show.

The special will fondly remember Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle, the actors who played Raymond’s famously grumpy parents, Marie and Frank Barone.

Everybody Loves Raymond, featuring Ray Romano and Peter Garrett as feuding brothers, was a popular show that ran for 210 episodes from 1996 to 2005. It was successful enough to be adapted for television in many countries, and in the UK, it was shown on Channel 4 during its weekday morning programming.

Romano previously shut down the possibility of an Everybody Loves Raymond reboot.

In a 2023 appearance on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher, as reported by Variety, actor Ray Romano explained why a reboot of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ is unlikely. He stated that, sadly, Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts, who played his parents on the show, are no longer with us, making a continuation impossible.

In addition to Boyle and Roberts not being involved, Romano explained he didn’t want a reboot, stating that they rarely live up to the original and he preferred to preserve the show’s existing reputation.

He explained that while the rest of the actors were eager to continue, he and Phil Rosenthal, the showrunner, both felt it was time to wrap things up after season 8. They simply felt it was the right moment to end the show.

Everybody Loves Raymond is available to watch on Channel 4 in the UK and Paramount+ in the US.
