Ariana Grande Shares COVID Diagnosis Amid Wicked: For Good Press Tour

Ariana Grande’s has a not-so thrillifying health update.

The actress, who was nominated for an Oscar, revealed she tested positive for COVID-19 while promoting her new movie, Wicked: For Good, in New York City, causing a slight disruption to her press events.

Ariana Grande shared a photo on her Instagram Story from November 20th, taken just before her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 18th. The black and white picture shows her skillfully twirling a wand, and she captioned it, “moments before covid.”

Despite recent health updates, Ariana Grande has been reminiscing about her time filming in New York City with her Wicked co-stars, including Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Bowen Yang, and Ethan Slater, as well as loved ones. On November 19th, she shared a series of black and white photos on social media, featuring moments with director Jon M. Chu, her arrival at the film’s premiere, and pictures of her dogs.

She also shared memories of filming with the cast, including a funny story about accidentally mishandling her wand while shooting a scene as Glinda.

She jokingly told Jimmy Fallon on the late-night show that it got tangled in her wig a couple of times, calling it a bit of a chaotic moment.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Ariana totally blew everyone away! Even after three and a half years since she filmed ‘Wicked,’ she stepped in and just effortlessly did Glinda’s wand movements for Jimmy and the audience! It was like she hadn’t skipped a beat, honestly. She’s just… magical!

Even though Ariana is finishing her work as Glinda, she recently emphasized how important it is to make sure fans enjoy the final movie.

It’s been amazing working with people we both admire and care for deeply,” the 32-year-old shared with Justin Sylvester of TopMob News during an interview with Cynthia at the film’s NYC premiere on November 17th. She also expressed her excitement for fans to “finally see the complete story and journey of these women we’ve all grown to love over the years.”

I’ve been following their journey for nearly five years now, and honestly, it’s incredibly exciting to see them finally understand everything we’ve known all along. It feels like they’re getting the full story, and it’s a really satisfying moment as a long-time supporter.
