The Big Apple is losing a beloved Housewife.
Jenna Lyons, a popular cast member on The Real Housewives of New York City, has confirmed she won’t be back for the show’s 16th season.
Okay, so the buzz is real! I recently shared on Instagram that I’m joining Season 16 of RHONY as a ‘friend of’ the cast. Honestly, my personal life isn’t really something I’m comfortable sharing on camera, and the show was totally understanding of that. We all agreed it was the best way for me to participate and still maintain my boundaries.
The fashion icon, who started on the Bravo show in 2022 for its fourteenth season, realized she didn’t want to be just a supporting player.
After careful consideration, I’ve decided not to rejoin the show,” she explained. “I’d be the oldest and only openly gay woman there, and I think it’s a chance for something fresh to happen with a new cast member.
The 57-year-old expressed her love and appreciation for her fellow cast members Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, and Racquel Chevremont, though it’s currently uncertain if they will continue on the show.
Jenna expressed immense gratitude and respect for the entire BRAVO team, praising their dedication and thoughtfulness in creating the show. She also thanked Bravo’s Andy Cohen for the chance to participate and for his ongoing support.
She ended her heartfelt message by thanking her fans – those who waved hello, asked for pictures, or supported her on Instagram. She wrote that their support meant the world to her, and she’ll now be cheering from the sidelines with plenty of loving (and fashionable!) criticism.

Fans shared many sad messages, and Jessel responded with a heart emoji and “JFT 4eva.” Andy Cohen simply reacted with a crying emoji.
With Jenna leaving, it’s clear the cast of RHONY will be significantly different when the show starts filming again next season.
After a controversial fifteenth season, Brynn Whitfield revealed she was leaving in June following a significant conflict with Ubah. Earlier, in February, Rebecca Minkoff, a new cast member, decided to leave after receiving a mixed reaction from viewers.

Bravo’s reality show about Washington D.C. featured four women—Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney, and Stacie Scott Turner—who didn’t exactly make a lasting impression. It also included one woman so eager for attention that she actually crashed a party at the White House. We’ll be talking about her story soon.

Who?

Vaguely familiar, but…

Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

The newest cast member on The Real Housewives of Utah had a dramatic and short-lived run on the show. In January 2022, Jennie was let go after old, offensive Facebook posts with racially insensitive content came to light. She later issued an apology, but the show had already decided to remove her from the cast.

Her defining trait was “cougar.”

Throughout season 16, the Orange County doctor generally stayed out of the drama, and her short-lived marital issues with her husband, Ryne, weren’t very exciting. But viewers will always remember Dr. Jen getting noticeably drunk on wine at the Dubrows’ famously uncomfortable—but surprisingly fun—dinner party.

The nurse anesthetist’s show had a disastrous first season, and it’s best described by one embarrassing incident – a situation everyone hopes to forget, now known as ‘Esophagus-gate’.

Katie frequently discussed her charitable endeavors, but she didn’t offer much substance on the show. She made brief appearances and didn’t really engage with the other cast members as a friend. And leaving the cast trip early? That’s a major breach of etiquette for a reality TV personality.

Charrisse is mostly remembered for her highly publicized marital issues during her two seasons on the show, as well as her famously lavish champagne room.

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

Although it was refreshing to see some diversity on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Peggy became a frustrating cast member during season 12. Her arguments were strange and often stemmed from misunderstandings of simple words, and her decision to isolate herself during the Iceland trip showed she wasn’t well-suited for the show’s lifestyle.

Nneka’s first season on the show focused on a surprising and dramatic conflict: she accused Wendy Osefo’s mother of witchcraft. It’s a shame they didn’t connect over their Nigerian heritage, as it would have been great to see them bond instead of feuding without resolution.

Noella brought a lot of energy to season 16 of the show. Although viewers sympathized with her personal issues – her husband, James, unexpectedly filed for divorce just before filming began – it was her ongoing conflict with Heather Dubrow that kept her from being seen as the least interesting cast member. Perhaps with more time on the show, viewers will connect with Noella.

It’s rare to see a Housewife’s reputation decline so quickly. She went from being a peacemaker in her first season to facing accusations of anti-Semitism and constantly complaining – all sparked by a cake being thrown – in her second and final season.

It seemed like Amber and her husband, Jim, were acting out of desperation. And Jim appeared to be more caught up in the problems than she was, which didn’t look good for either of them.

The only thing most people recall about Karent is her profession – she was a dentist. And apparently, her colleagues didn’t care for her much. Moving on!

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

Jules was only on RHONY for one season, so it’s hard to place her higher on a ranking list. Still, she definitely brought plenty of drama during her time on the show.

So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.

Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina was a successful Arab woman who skillfully balanced a modern lifestyle with her cultural heritage. She generally stayed out of the drama during the first season and sometimes didn’t get as much attention as her more outgoing co-stars.

Taleen joined the second season of RHODubai and made a positive impression, but it’s hard to get a complete sense of her personality after only seeing one season of the show.

Although she appeared on America’s Next Top Model, her time on The Real Housewives of Atlanta wasn’t particularly memorable, mainly because she was pregnant throughout most of it. However, her iconic confrontation with Marlo Hampton while in Tokyo was a definite highlight.

Generally, new Housewives need to be on the show for a few seasons before we consider ranking them highly. However, Katie made a huge impact right away during her first season of RHOC, immediately challenging established Housewife Heather Dubrow. It’s bold to question someone like Ms. Dubrow!

To be frank, Stephanie didn’t really impress us. Although she had the potential to be a good addition to the show because of her wealth, we didn’t like how she constantly used her private jet to try and control the other cast members during season seven. It just left a bad taste in our mouths.
Maybe Steph can redeem herself if she returns for season eight.

You know, Sara just has this incredibly positive energy – it’s lovely! Though, honestly, it didn’t always make for the most exciting TV, except maybe when she playfully offered another actress, Caroline Brooks, some parenting tips! But what really impressed me is how she completely redefined what it means to be a modern Muslim woman in the Middle East. It was truly inspiring, and I think we should all celebrate that.

The new cast members on season 13 of RHONJ quickly fell into the familiar pattern of New Jersey Housewives, getting caught up in a season-long, ultimately meaningless argument that even Andy Cohen admitted was pointless. Sadly, they didn’t offer much more depth or substance in season 14 either.

Larsa Pippen wasn’t a standout cast member during her initial appearance on the show. When The Real Housewives of Miami returned in 2021, a major focus of her story was her past friendship with Kim Kardashian – and her side hustle selling photos of her feet online.

After appearing on Bravo TV for one season, Ana tried out for season 12 of Next Food Network Star in 2016, but wasn’t selected.
