The Biggest Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Theory Gets Officially Debunked (But Fans Don’t Believe It)

As a huge Marvel fan, I’ve been following all the buzz around Daredevil: Born Again, and a popular theory was just debunked by Charlie Cox himself. But honestly, a lot of us aren’t buying it! After seeing Matt Murdock pop up in a few projects, Born Again was supposed to be his big comeback to the MCU in 2025. The cool thing was that his older adventures, especially his rivalry with Wilson Fisk’s Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), were officially made part of the MCU timeline last year. We were all expecting Born Again to continue that story, but the new series started off with a really shocking move – killing off a fan favorite from the original Daredevil show.

Charlie Cox recently addressed a popular fan theory about Foggy Nelson’s (Elden Henson) fate at a Q&A panel in Mexico. When asked if Foggy might still be alive, Cox stated definitively, “He’s dead. I’m sorry.” While acknowledging he and many fans were saddened by the news, Cox confirmed the theory was incorrect. Despite this clear statement from the actor regarding Daredevil: Born Again, fans remain disappointed at the prospect of Foggy being permanently gone.

Charlie when asked about what does he think about the theory that Foggy is still alive….

What Fans Think About Foggy Nelson’s Fate in Daredevil: Born Again

Elden Henson joined the cast of Daredevil: Born Again later in the production process, along with Deborah Ann Woll, after the show was significantly reworked in 2023. This change brought the new series much closer in tone and connection to the original Daredevil. However, Foggy Nelson, now a partner at the law firm Nelson, Murdock & Page, appeared for only a short time before being killed by Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) – acting on orders from Vanessa Fisk (Ayelet Zurer). Foggy’s unexpected death had a big impact on the story and surprised viewers, but many fans immediately speculated that he might not be gone for good.

I’ve been reading the comments on the video, and everyone thinks Charlie Cox is playing coy about Foggy Nelson’s return! We’re all convinced he’s deliberately trying to throw us off the scent before Daredevil: Born Again season 2 comes out in March 2026. The person who filmed it, @broccolimurdock, noticed he seemed really nervous and suspicious. Another fan, @PasswordSuck2, pointed out how similar this is to the comics, where Foggy faked his own death and went into witness protection! It’s funny, because someone even shared a GIF of Ron Burgundy from Anchorman saying, “I don’t believe you!” – and honestly, that’s how a lot of us feel right now.

He’s the worst liar everrrrrrr

Some fans think Cox is convincingly denying involvement, but still suspect something isn’t right. Others left discussions feeling more certain he’s still alive. This reminds people of other Marvel actors – like Andrew Garfield, Dafne Keen, and Patrick Stewart – who strongly denied appearing in projects, only to show up later. Elden Henson will return for season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, though his role is currently unknown. He might appear in a flashback, but fans are hoping for a bigger surprise – perhaps Foggy being revealed as alive or somehow brought back. This has happened before within the Defenders Saga, so it’s definitely a possibility.
