Eminem is not afraid to rep his hometown.

I was completely blown away at the Lions game on Thanksgiving! I wasn’t expecting it at all, but Eminem showed up during Jack White’s halftime show! It was incredible to see him perform back in Detroit, his hometown. Such a cool surprise!

As a huge fan, I was absolutely blown away during the Super Bowl halftime show! It was incredible to see Eminem, who actually helped produce the whole thing with his manager Paul Rosenberg, bring out another Detroit legend. When he started performing “Till I Collapse,” the crowd went wild – the energy was unbelievable!

Throughout his performance, Eminem, whose full name is Marshall Mathers III, showed his support for the Detroit Lions by wearing a blue Lions jacket over his usual hoodie and cap.

The Grammy-winning artist surprised fans with an unexpected performance, made even more meaningful by the presence of his 8-month-old grandson, Elliot Marshall McClintock. Elliot, son of Hailie Jade and Evan McClintock, watched from the audience wearing noise-cancelling headphones, as shared in a video on Hailie Jade’s Instagram page.

Everyone knows Eminem is a huge Detroit Lions fan. In 2024, he even narrated the opening video for an NBC Sunday Night Football game when the Lions played the Los Angeles Rams, passionately talking about the team’s history.

Detroit has faced years of losing and become the target of jokes, he explained in the video. It’s hard to ignore the negativity, and eventually, it starts to get to you.

Detroit doesn’t often experience happy endings, but tonight, we have a real opportunity. If we seize this chance, you know we can achieve great things.
