A Recap and Look Ahead for “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” and “My Hero Academia”
Previously, “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” concluded its first season this year, swiftly announcing that characters such as Crawler, Pop Step, and Knuckleduster would reappear in the upcoming second season. As Studio BONES gears up for a new anime titled “Gachiakuta“, October will bring us an exciting battle between Deku, Class 1-A, Shigaraki, and All For One, as they strive to determine the fate of Hero Society.
In other news, manga creator Kohei Horikoshi has shared some insights with fans regarding his future plans for the anime and his thoughts on the finale of “My Hero Academia”. With the manga now concluded, the mangaka offers a glimpse into his future role in the anime and his sentiments towards the series’ conclusion.
At this year’s Anime Expo, Horikoshi shared his personal message, which was read aloud due to scheduling conflicts. The voice actors for Deku in both English (Justin Briner) and Japanese (Daiki Yamashita) participated. Although Kohei wasn’t physically present, he expressed his regret about not being able to attend and revealed that the anime has reached its final season. As he was drawing the concluding chapters of the manga, Horikoshi admitted feeling internal pressure – would the ending be cherished or seen as a waste of ten years? He emphasized that he aimed to make “My Hero Academia” a series that made everyone enjoy being part of the journey. Fortunately, it seems the anime team shares this ambition, and they are excited for the final season.
Kohei Horikoshi Talks Working on The Anime
Due to wrapping up the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump some time ago, Horikoshi has mentioned that he now has more spare time. He’s made the most of this freedom by revealing that he’s collaborating more closely with BONES than ever before on the anime adaptation. In fact, he’s even creating additional scenes for the show! He also shared that he recalls Justin expressing great affection for Deku during a live event, and Yamasha-san couldn’t stop talking about it. With everyone pouring their energy into the project, the final season is set to air in October. Let’s all get excited and support it wholeheartedly!
The final season of “My Hero Academia” is anticipated to be a major highlight in the fall anime lineup, but studio BONES hasn’t specified the exact date for UA Academy’s comeback yet. Despite this series potentially drawing to a close, fans who have read the manga are aware that significant battles await Deku and his allies. Even if we don’t get more episodes after the finale, the influence of the shonen superhero franchise on anime as a whole is likely to endure for some time.
