As a diehard Digimon fan, I can’t contain my excitement as the eleventh installment in the series, Digimon Beatbreak, starts to pick up steam on the digital hype train! Toei Animation is steering us towards another thrilling adventure after wrapping up Digimon Ghost Game over two years ago. Now, we impatiently wait for either catching the first episode at Digimon Expo 2025 at the Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall on September 20-21, or the series’ grand debut in October!
Later this year on October 3rd, the new video game titled “Digimon Story: Time Stranger” will release for consoles and PCs. This could potentially link to the upcoming “Beatbreak” series. With an impressive roster of 450 Digimon, there’s plenty to look forward to! Among them is the introduction of our new protagonist, 15-year-old high-schooler Tomoro Tenma, accompanied by his reptilian digital partner, Gekkomon. Their adventures unfold in “Beatbreak”. Additionally, fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the voice actors for our heroes. Moreover, the fresh synthwave/vaporwave visuals of the revamped digital world, as shown in the official trailer, add to the excitement!

Miyu Irino shared, “In elementary school, Digimon was one of my favorite games. I poured all my heart into raising my Digimon and had a blast playing with friends. It’s an immense honor for me to voice the main character in a new Digimon series. I hope today’s kids can experience the same joy we felt then, and remind busy adults of simpler times when they were deeply immersed in play. I long for everyone to remember those days, regardless of age or gender! I am confident that this project will resonate with all generations. Keep an eye out for its broadcast starting soon!
As an observer, I’m recounting Megumi Han’s heartfelt words: “Ever since I was a child, my dream was to become one of the chosen Digimon trainers. Since I embarked on this journey, Digimon have consistently surpassed even my wildest dreams. Now, for the first time, I get to play my own partner Digimon. I yearn for the chance to repay the fans and the Digimon universe for all the joy it has given me thus far. So, I’ll step into the world of ‘Digimon Beat Break’ as Tomoro’s partner, Gekkomon.
