This Week’s Japanese Game Releases: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Octopath Traveler 0, more

The biggest new game releases in Japan this week are Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, coming to both the new Switch 2 and the original Switch, and Octopath Traveler 0, which is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and Switch.

This week also brings the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows for the Nintendo Switch 2, as well as Red Dead Redemption for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and mobile devices (iOS and Android).

This week will bring new downloadable content and updates for several games, including a “Power Pack” for Gran Turismo 7 and a new character, Miary Zo, for Tekken 8.
