This time, the action takes place in Hollywood, specifically on a large, self-contained movie studio lot, suggesting a return to a more concentrated game environment. It’s currently unknown if the game will retain the Dead Rising title.
According to reports, the new Dead Rising game will put players in the role of Frank, who will be subjected to dangerous challenges by a ruthless director. This director is obsessed with finishing his masterpiece even as the world ends, and he’ll threaten to destroy the studio with explosives if anyone disobeys him. The game has been in development since 2023, so it’s likely still a couple of years from release, but fans are excited to see the franchise moving forward.
Capcom hinted at the future of the Dead Rising series last year with the successful remake of the first game, proving there’s still interest in this franchise. Fans are also hoping Capcom will remaster Dead Rising 2, which introduced new features like a new character and cooperative gameplay.
