The latest season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? has finished airing, and while Andrei and Libby Castravet are still together, the family is now dealing with a difficult loss. Libby recently shared the sad news of her father, Chuck Potthast’s, passing and has asked fans for their support as she grieves.
Following disagreements with Loren and Alexei Brovarnik on the latest season of 90 Day Fiancé, Libby turned to Instagram for advice on coping with sadness. She also shared what she’s been doing recently, and explained how she and Andrei are focusing on staying positive during the holidays.
Dealing with this level of sadness is completely new for me. My partner, Andrei, and I are really focused on keeping things as stable and cheerful as possible for our kids. I often find myself wanting to do our usual activities, but then feeling bad about it. I try to put on a brave face, but truthfully, I’m really struggling inside. I’d love to hear how others have coped with grief and what brought them comfort. ❤️🩹
Kimberly Menzies, who appeared on 90 Day Fiancé and experienced a personal loss during filming, offered Libby support. She advised Libby to focus on getting through each day and let her know she’s available to talk whenever needed.

I especially agreed with that point, because Libby revealed on the recent season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? that she and Andrei had isolated themselves from most people. This extended to her own family; she’d become distant from her siblings because of ongoing arguments between them and her husband.
I recently saw a quick video Libby posted – just a glimpse of her and the kids doing a photoshoot. Honestly, it wasn’t anything groundbreaking, but knowing she’s been going through a tough time, it was really heartwarming to see her still making an effort to enjoy those everyday moments with her family. It’s a small thing, but it felt significant.

The Castravets are grieving during the holidays, and fans are wondering if they’ll appear in future seasons of 90 Day Fiancé. They may have already filmed for a different show in the franchise, but even if not, it’s understandable if they take time to heal as a family and aren’t on TV for a while.
