Christina Aguilera knows what a girl wants.
Her 10-year-old daughter, Summer Rain, and her fiancé Matt Rutler, prefer Christina Aguilera to go without makeup, according to the singer.
Christina recently told Jennifer Hudson that she loves going makeup-free as soon as she finishes work for the day. She explained that she immediately wants to feel comfortable and relaxed after filming, saying, ‘OK, can you take that off now? It’s time to be cozy.’
He explained that his partner loves his freckles, even though he often tries to hide them. She’s even wondered if she’ll develop freckles herself one day.
Summer wants to be like her mother in many ways, not just how she looks. Her mother, Christina, says Summer is a very talented artist.
The Grammy winner shared that Summer enjoys creating art – she paints, draws, and makes beautiful masks and sculptures. She’s also recently become interested in acting.
Christina says her 17-year-old son, Max Liron, who she shares with ex-husband Jordan Bratman, is a bit harder to please.
I love performing at festivals because there are so many other artists, and it gives my son a chance to explore backstage. I recently headlined Portola with LCD Soundsystem – he’s a huge fan – and he got to go behind the scenes, which was really exciting.
Christina added with a smile, “We get to really connect. I get cool mom points for that.”
What the former Mouseketeer loves most about being a mom is seeing the world through her kids’ perspectives.
“I never want to push anything on my kids,” she said. “Whatever they’re passionate about, I’m there to support it.”
In fact, Christina noted that she’s often “humbled” by her kids.
She explained that people will criticize you for even the smallest things. However, it’s a learning experience, offering a different perspective that can be both insightful and grounding. Ultimately, it helps you become more patient.
