You can now find the Fallout Pip-Boy Xbox Wireless Controller and the premium Fallout Pip-Boy Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 at the Xbox Store.

Here’s everything you need to know about these custom Xbox controllers.

Fallout Pip-Boy Xbox controllers: Release date and price

The Fallout Pip-Boy Xbox controllers are based on the standard Xbox Wireless Controller and the higher-end Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, but they’ve been given a special look with metallic triggers and a metallic directional pad.

The design of these items includes a shell inspired by the health screen from the Pip-Boy, a famous device in the Fallout games. Players use the Pip-Boy to monitor their health, manage their inventory, view maps, track quests, and listen to the radio, helping to break the silence of the game’s ruined world.

I’ve been testing these controllers, and honestly, they feel just like the standard Xbox Wireless and Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers. They have that same great quality when it comes to how they feel in your hands, how well the buttons and sticks respond, and just overall how well they’re made – which is why the others are already ranked so highly.

I noticed the new Fallout Pip-Boy Xbox controllers work just like standard Xbox controllers. They connect wirelessly via Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth, meaning you can use them with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PCs, iPhones, Android phones, and even cloud gaming devices.

Plus, they have dedicated share buttons so you can capture screenshots and record gameplay clips.

There are currently three versions of the Pipboy controller:

1. Standard Xbox wireless edition for $82.97 from the Microsoft Store

2. Standard but customizable from the Xbox Design Lab starting at $88.96

3. Elite and customizable, also from the Xbox Design Lab, starting at $179.07

It can be a little tricky, but the prices shown on the Xbox Design Labs site aren’t always what you’ll actually pay. The prices listed here are the ones you’ll see when you go to buy your customized controller.

Do note that these are PREORDERS with controllers shipping on December 16, 2025, at 12:00 AM.
