Young Sheldon’s Iain Armitage To Guest Star as Himself on CBS’ Ghosts

I’m really excited to see Iain Armitage, who I love from his role on the CBS comedy, coming back to the network! He’s starring in a new show called Young Sheldon, which is actually a spin-off of the hugely popular sitcom everyone was obsessed with. While we’re all waiting for that, it’s great to see Iain in a role that feels comfortable and familiar.

Iain Armitage, known for his role as Young Sheldon, will make a guest appearance on the CBS comedy Ghosts. He’ll be playing a slightly exaggerated version of himself in an episode where he participates in a competitive poker game at the mansion. The episode is currently being filmed and is scheduled to air on April 16, 2026.

Young Sheldon Star Stays in the CBS Family for Ghosts Guest Appearance

The TV show Young Sheldon finished its run on CBS in 2024, successfully telling the story of how Jim Parsons’ character, Sheldon Cooper, grew up. Sheldon first became popular on The Big Bang Theory, and fans were eager to see his childhood in this prequel series. Iain Armitage starred in the show, and Jim Parsons provided the voice of the narrator.

The show Ghosts premiered in 2021 and follows a couple, Samantha (played by Rose McIver) and Jay (played by Utkarsh Ambudkar), who inherit a bed-and-breakfast with a spooky history – it’s haunted by the ghosts of people who died on the property in different eras.

The show Ghosts reached the number one spot on Amazon’s list of top TV shows on October 19th. This increase in viewers happened around the time Season 5 began, and people were able to rent or buy episodes on Amazon, iTunes, and Paramount+. Paramount+ also offered Season 5 for streaming with a subscription.

Big Bang Theory Universe Grows With Two More Spinoffs

Viewers who enjoy The Big Bang Theory have two new shows to look forward to. One spinoff is currently on the air, and another is planned for HBO Max. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is connected to Young Sheldon, meaning it’s another show that explores the earlier years of the Big Bang Theory universe.

Following their wedding, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage shows Georgie Cooper, Sheldon’s brother, and Mandy McAllister as they begin their life together. The series focuses on the challenges and joys of raising a family while dealing with a 12-year age gap and living with Mandy’s parents. You can currently watch Season 2 on CBS.

In Stuart Saves the Universe, Kevin Sussman reprises his role as Stuart Bloom. This time, he’s got a much bigger problem to solve: after accidentally destroying a device created by Sheldon and Leonard, he must fix reality and prevent a multiverse-level disaster.

Stuart embarks on this adventure with help from his girlfriend, Denise, a geologist friend named Bert, and the often-irritating but brilliant physicist, Barry Kripke. They encounter familiar faces from The Big Bang Theory along the way, but things don’t go as planned.

New episodes of Ghosts air Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
