South Park Season 28 Ending Explained: What Happens To Satan and Donald Trump’s Baby

Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for South Parkseason 28, episode 5, “Crap Out.”

The season 28 finale of South Park was unusually dramatic for the show, and it suggests big changes are coming. While the show’s jokes about the Trump administration have often been controversial, South Park has always continued to deliver its sharp satire.

Season 28 of South Park hasn’t shied away from controversy, featuring outlandish depictions of figures like Pete Hegseth, Kristi Noem, and even the President in shocking scenarios. While briefly revisiting the Tegridy Farms storyline, the season largely focused on satirizing Donald Trump and his supporters.

Everything culminated in the season 28 episode, “Crap Out,” which served as both the show’s final episode and its first Christmas special since 2019’s “Christmas Snow.” South Park delivered on both counts, providing a wild story that still managed to tie up loose ends from the previous two seasons.

Donald Trump and Satan’s Antichrist Baby Dies In South Park’s Season 28 Ending

For the past season of South Park, the main storyline has focused on what will happen to the baby of Satan and Donald Trump. It was revealed last season that they were having an affair, and the current season has shown that Satan is pregnant with Trump’s child.

According to some interpretations of Christian beliefs, a child born from the Devil and a human would be the Antichrist and trigger the end of the world. In a surprising turn of events within the show, controversial billionaire Peter Thiel attempted to prevent this by kidnapping Cartman in season 28, but was ultimately arrested by South Park’s police force.

In a satirical storyline on South Park involving artificial intelligence, Peter Thiel was arrested, leaving Donald Trump in a difficult situation: he needed an abortion but had no one to help him. This was complicated by Trump’s affair with his Vice President, JD Vance, which he was keeping secret from Satan. As a result, in the episode “Crap Out,” Trump and Vance journeyed to South Park to rescue Thiel.

Peter Thiel, a religious figure resembling Jesus, Donald Trump, and J.D. Vance all worked together to prevent a birth. Meanwhile, Satan, a character named Stan, and the aggressive woodland creatures from the South Park episode “Woodland Critter Christmas” (season 8, episode 14) tried to make sure the Antichrist was born. But when they all arrived at the hospital, it became clear their efforts were pointless.

A doctor shockingly announced that the Antichrist died by suicide while still in the mother’s womb. The story became even more unusual when details of the death—and the missing evidence surrounding it—were shown on Fox News. These details closely resembled a satirical take on the controversial death of Jeffrey Epstein, a Trump associate with a history of sex crimes.

The Woodland Critters Returned To South Park in Season 28’s Finale

Following a quiet Thanksgiving episode, the latest South Park installment, “Crap Out,” packed a lot of story into its short 25-minute run time. Stan encountered the creepy Woodland Critters again – they previously asked him to help with the birth of the Antichrist.

The episode started with Stan praying for a Christmas miracle while kneeling before a toilet, leading viewers to expect the return of Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo. However, to Stan’s shock, the cute but mischievous demonic animals from the previous “Woodland Critter Christmas” episode appeared instead.

Stan Still Gets His Christmas Miracle In South Park Season 28 Episode 5 “Crap Out”

Despite everything, Stan was incredibly depressed and decided to assist the Critters in their attempt to destroy the world anyway. Similar to how the character PC Principal changed in South Park, the show’s depiction of Jesus underwent a major shift in season 28, becoming a narrow-minded and aggressive conservative who disregarded Stan’s wish for a Christmas miracle.

So, when the Critters ask Stan to help with the Antichrist’s birth again, he agrees, figuring he has nothing to lose. He later jokes that someone might as well get a Christmas miracle, even if it involves Satan, his child, and all his followers.

Despite the plan not working, Stan’s disappointment leads Jesus to change his mind. At first, Jesus wasn’t hopeful about Stan wanting things to go back to normal, but he eventually relents and gives Stan a crucial gift at the end of the episode. Although the story ends with a Trump victory, Stan still manages to get his house keys from Jesus.

What South Park’s Season 28 Ending Means For Season 29

Jesus explains his change in behavior, briefly showing the kind and gentle side he displayed in earlier seasons of South Park – a side Stan famously pointed out when he quipped, “He became a Christian.” With that, Stan’s life returns to normal after seven years of his father’s Tegridy Farms marijuana business.

Okay, so heading into South Park season 29, it’s honestly hard to predict where they’ll take Stan’s arc. But what’s really exciting is that the show has cleverly wrapped up a lot of its long-running plotlines. With Stan and his family settled back in South Park, and Trump back in office, the writers have a completely clean slate. They can basically satirize anything they want, which, as a viewer, is incredibly promising. It feels like they’ve given themselves total creative freedom.
