Hulu Just Added One of the Best Christmas Franchises of All Time (And It’s Already a Streaming Hit)

Hulu subscribers are watching one Christmas movie series more than any other this year. Like other streaming services, Hulu is offering a wide selection of holiday films this December. One particular Christmas series, added to Hulu at the beginning of the month, has quickly become a favorite among viewers.

Starting December 1st, all six Home Alone movies—including the original, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and the sequels—became available to stream on Hulu. These films, which follow kids unexpectedly left to defend their homes during the holidays, are already very popular with viewers.

Currently, the holiday classics Home Alone and Home Alone 2, starring Macaulay Culkin, are the most popular movies on Hulu in the U.S., holding the top two spots. Across all TV shows and movies, they rank as number two and number four. These films are beating out other popular Christmas favorites like The Santa Clause, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and The Polar Express, which complete the top five. While exact viewing numbers haven’t been released, both Home Alone movies have been consistently ranked on Hulu’s top 10 chart since December 10th.
