Scooter Braun thinks Justin Bieber hit the sweet spot with his new album.
Following the settlement of $31.5 million between the “Baby” singer and his ex-manager in connection to show cancellations and unpaid commissions from their 2023 business split, the former CEO of Hybe America expressed opinions about Justin’s recent album, titled “Swag“.
On his Instagram Stories, dated July 12th, Scooter expressed that this album is undeniably authentic to Justin Bieber, stating it’s beautiful, unfiltered, and genuinely represents him. And that authenticity is what truly counts.
In the late aughts, I stumbled upon a Grammy-winning artist’s performance video on YouTube, and that was none other than Justin. Though our professional relationship ended, my admiration for him has remained constant. At 44, I may have moved away from music management, but I continue to enthusiastically support Justin in all his endeavors.
For nearly twenty years, I’ve been fortunate enough to observe his development, and now, he’s truly come into his own with this work,” Scooter expressed excitedly. “At every stage of a creative journey, there’s a moment when an artist fully owns their craft, and that’s exactly what he’s accomplished here. He put his heart and soul into this project, and you can sense it in every beat.
Regarding the unexpected release of his seventh studio album on July 11 by “Beauty and a Beat” artist, Scooter praised the meticulous planning and attention to detail evident in every aspect of the project’s execution.
He deliberately decided on how to share it, much like the music itself, and it’s great to see him doing things his own way,” he added. “I didn’t participate in this project, but as someone who’s always supported him, I’m incredibly proud, impressed, and genuinely enjoying the tunes.
Regarding Hailey Bieber, Justin’s wife and mother to their 10-month-old son Jack Blues Bieber, she was pleased that his latest album helped quell breakup speculation on social media. The album cover features a black-and-white picture of their baby boy and the lyrics subtly reference Justin’s personal life.
Are you finally understanding, you fools?”, referring to a popular video of Justin standing up to photographers who were chasing him during his evening visit to the Malibu beach.
Justin explained to the photographers in the June 13 clip, “You don’t seem to understand, and it’s not sinking in that I’m conducting business here.

In 2011, when Justin Bieber launched his first holiday album and second studio album titled Under the Mistletoe, he solidified his place on Santa’s Nice List. This LP was a Christmas album breakthrough, as it became the initial Christmas album by a male artist to ever debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Eventually, it was certified Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales surpassing 2 million units.
In early 2013, Justin Bieber surpassed Lady Gaga to become the individual with the highest number of followers on Twitter. Later in the year, however, Katy Perry’s follower count exceeded his, but Bieber managed to regain his position. As of now, Bieber is still the most followed musician on Twitter and ranks fifth among all users when it comes to overall followers.
In the early 2010s, with the success of music-based films, it was expected that Justin Bieber would have one, and indeed he did with the release of “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” in 2011. This documentary shattered box office records, boasting the largest opening weekend earnings of any documentary ever made, grossing a staggering $73 million in the U.S. alone. However, this record was broken by Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” film in 2023.
Back in 2013, I couldn’t help but feel an uncontainable excitement when the RIAA announced that my all-time favorite track, “Baby,” from Justin Bieber’s debut album, My World 2.0, had broken records by achieving a whopping 12x Platinum certification. This was made possible, in part, by the innovative incorporation of streaming data, propelling it past Elton John’s iconic “Candle in the Wind 1997,” which had previously held the title at 11x Platinum. However, as history would soon unfold, another song linked to Bieber would claim that crown – a tale I’ll share with you momentarily!
In 2015, “What Do You Mean?” by Justin Bieber, which was his first single from the album Purpose, peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. This achievement made him the youngest male artist to ever debut a song at the top of that chart, as he had just turned 21 years old at the time.
Two years following his somewhat tough stint as host of Saturday Night Live, Bieber willingly became the target of humor when he was the featured guest at a Comedy Central Roast in 2015. As the youngest celebrity to be roasted, he excelled in viewership ratings. The broadcast ranks third highest, trailing only those of Jeff Foxworthy in 2003 and Charlie Sheen in 2011.
In 2017, Justin Bieber joined a remix of Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s hit song “Despacito.” This collaboration helped the track become number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Interestingly, this was the first time in more than 20 years that a predominantly Spanish song reached the top spot in the U.S., following the success of Los del Rio’s 1996 hit “Macarena.” The song spent 16 weeks at number one, tying with Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day” for this record. However, Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” later broke this record in 2019. The song was also the first Latin song to receive a diamond certification from the RIAA, eventually dethroning “Baby” as the highest-certified single of all time in the U.S.
Despacito” further assisted Bieber in creating another milestone for himself. A week after his collaboration with DJ Khaled, “I’m the One,” reached the top of the charts, “Despacito” did the same, making him the first artist to achieve new No. 1s consecutively. According to the RIAA, the song has sold over 13 million units during its run.
In 2019, Justin Bieber expanded beyond his entertainment career and established the clothing line Drew House along with his friend Ryan Good and designer Gianpiero D’Alessandro. The product range includes t-shirts, hats, coats, and stickers, all featuring a yellow smiley face logo or just the word “drew.” However, in 2025, Bieber decided to part ways with Drew House and launched Skylrk instead.
Back in January 2020, I, a die-hard Belieber, was absolutely thrilled when the Biebs unveiled his 10-part YouTube docuseries titled “Justin Bieber: Seasons.” The debut episode smashed all records with an astounding 32 million views in its first week alone! This gripping series offered a no-holds-barred glimpse into the life of this extraordinary artist, delving deep into his struggles with physical and mental health issues, as well as his courageous fight against drug addiction. Not only did he grace our screens as the star, but Justin also took on the role of executive producer for this captivating production.
In early 2020, Justin Bieber’s fifth studio album “Changes” made its debut, and it immediately took the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. When we count remix albums like “Never Say Never: The Remixes” and “Believe Acoustic,” this LP became Bieber’s seventh No. 1 album in his career, making him the youngest solo artist to ever have seven number-one albums in the United States. Later on, “Justice” spent two weeks at No. 1, surpassing its own record set earlier.
It’s safe to say that if you posed this question to Justin Bieber himself, he’d likely agree that none of his accomplishments over the past decade compare to his relationship with Hailey Baldwin. After a series of on-again, off-again relationships with Selena Gomez, he started dating Baldwin in 2015. However, they broke up in 2016 and for a short while, Bieber and Gomez rekindled their romance. Yet, by May 2018, Bieber and Baldwin had reconciled and were engaged shortly thereafter. They tied the knot in a civil ceremony that September, and celebrated their marriage with a grand wedding exactly one year later.
In an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music in February 2020, he expressed, “I have the most wonderful wife anyone could ask for. She stands by me through thick and thin. I feel truly fortunate to be her husband.
And in 2024, two became three when the couple welcomed their son Jack Blues.
Justin Bieber’s latest album, titled “Justice”, made its way to number one in the charts of ten different countries upon release. This was his eighth album to reach the top spot, making him the youngest solo artist to achieve eight No. 1 albums in the U.S. at only 27 years old. However, this isn’t the only record he broke. With the debut of “Peaches”, Bieber became the first male solo artist ever to simultaneously occupy the top spot on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts.
In an appearance on The Zach Sang Show, Bieber expressed that his intention for the album was to bring inspiration, lift spirits, and spread joy during these challenging times. This message certainly struck a chord with people all over.
