It’s Christmas time in the city.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have shared their family’s 2025 holiday card, which features their three children – Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 – embracing the holiday season.

The photo shows a family of five enjoying a sunny field full of white and yellow daffodils. Little Louis is sitting between his dad’s legs, and Charlotte is snuggled close to him. Their brother, George, is sitting nearby with his legs crossed, and their mom, Kate, has her arms wrapped around everyone, with the whole family beaming.

On December 18th, they posted a message wishing everyone a Merry Christmas on their social media accounts.

Photographer Josh Sinner took this photo as part of a larger shoot in April 2025. The family has been using images from this shoot for various events throughout the year, such as each child’s birthday photos.

Oh my gosh, the holidays are always a whirlwind for the royals, and I was absolutely glued to the news when William, Kate, and the kids were spotted at the Together At Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey earlier this month! It was just… magical. I’ve been following them for years, and seeing them at events like that just makes my year. Seriously, I was so excited!

On December 5th, Kate will host her annual holiday celebration, which will be broadcast in the U.K. on Christmas Eve. The event honors people and communities across the country who are working to bring others together and highlights the importance of human connection.

The annual event, which began in 2021, includes musical performances, readings, and carol singing, and is attended by members of the royal family. This year, in addition to Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall were present. Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, also attended to support their daughter, along with her brother James Middleton and his wife Alizée Thevenet.

Attendees at the service also received a personal letter from Kate, where she reflected on celebrating the connections – both obvious and unseen – that bring us together during the holidays.

Kate explained to People that despite the usual holiday hustle and traditions, there’s a gentle feeling that emerges. She said the season’s softness reminds us that even small things – our words, actions, and kindness – can have a bigger impact than we realize, affecting people we may never even meet.

Following Prince Andrew’s decision to step down as Duke of York, King Charles III announced that his brother would also lose his home at Royal Lodge and no longer be known as a Prince.

Buckingham Palace announced today that Prince Andrew will no longer use his royal titles, including ‘His Royal Highness.’ He will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, has announced he will no longer use the title Duke of York. This decision comes after ongoing public concern about his connection to the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.

After talking with The King and my family, I’ve decided the ongoing accusations against me are taking attention away from the important work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Prince Andrew said in a statement. “As I’ve always done, I’m prioritizing my family and country. I reaffirm my decision from five years ago to step back from public duties.

Andrew stated that, with the King’s approval, he was taking things a step further. He would be giving up his royal title and any honors he’d received. He also reaffirmed that he strongly disagreed with the claims made against him.

 

In October 2025, the King and his oldest son attended the Countdown to COP30 event held at the Natural History Museum in London.

The couple posed for photos outside the museum before going inside to meet with government officials and activists dedicated to fighting climate change. This event took place ahead of the COP30 World Leaders Summit in Belém, Brazil, in November, which Prince William will attend in place of his father.

In September 2025, Sarah, Duchess of York, stepped down as a patron of Julia’s House after an old email from 2011 surfaced. The email revealed she referred to Jeffrey Epstein as a friend.

After reports surfaced this weekend about the Duchess of York’s communication with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia’s House has decided it’s no longer appropriate for her to continue as their patron. The charity has informed the Duchess of this decision and expressed their gratitude for her previous contributions, according to The Guardian.

A representative for Ferguson stated the email was sent following a threat made by Epstein.

After a 19-month absence, Prince Harry was spotted arriving at Clarence House—the King’s home in London—apparently to visit his father before attending another event in the city.

Harry arrived at the house around 5:20 p.m. on September 10th, but Charles had come back just a few hours earlier.

Princess Anne’s son and his girlfriend, Harriet Sperling, announced their engagement on August 1st after dating for over a year. His father is Mark Phillips.

The couple’s spokesperson told Hello! magazine that both families were told about the engagement at the same time and were very happy about it.

Just a day before turning 78, the royal was made an honorary Vice Admiral by the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy.

Camilla is the first woman to receive this honorary title. It’s awarded only by the monarch—in this case, her husband, King Charles III—based on a recommendation from the First Sea Lord, currently Sir Gwyn Jenkins.

Just hours before she was scheduled to attend, Princess Catherine canceled her appearance at Royal Ascot, according to Kensington Palace.

The palace says Kate was sad to miss the event, but is still working out how to best manage her public appearances as she recovers from cancer.

Prince Harry’s lawsuit seeking extra security ended on May 2nd when the courts rejected his claim. This came over a year after a previous request for increased protection was denied by the High Court’s Royal and VIP Executive Committee.

After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stopped being full-time working royals in 2021 and moved to the US, their security protection was reduced. Since then, Harry has asked for security arrangements to be made when he travels to the UK.

Prince Harry told the BBC on May 2nd that he was deeply upset by the outcome of his recent legal fight. He added that, as things stand, he doesn’t foresee returning to the UK with his wife and children.

I’ve been following the news, and it’s so sad to hear Prince Harry share that his father, King Charles, isn’t currently speaking with him. He mentioned it’s related to security concerns, but he definitely expressed a desire to mend things – a reconciliation would be wonderful for both of them, and for the family as a whole. It’s a reminder that even within royal families, communication and understanding are key.

Prince Harry expressed his desire to rebuild his relationship with his family, including his father, but indicated the decision to move forward rests with his dad.

He doesn’t foresee returning to the U.K. with his family anytime soon. He expressed sadness about his children not being able to experience his home country with him.

Harry explained that his father has significant influence and could potentially solve the situation. He suggested this wouldn’t require direct involvement, but rather allowing professionals to handle things without interference.

After years of fighting, he’s now seeking peace and a chance to make amends. He explained, “Life is too short, and my father doesn’t have much time left.”

More than a year after revealing his cancer diagnosis, King Charles wrote on April 29th that going through treatment has highlighted the kindness and goodness of people.

In a booklet offering support to cancer patients, Charles wrote that receiving a diagnosis is understandably scary for both individuals and their families. However, drawing from his own experience, he shared that it can also reveal incredible kindness and strength in others.

Honestly, hearing him talk about the doctors and nurses who helped him just melted my heart! He said it made him realize even more how amazing the people and organizations at the event are – and get this, he’s known, visited, and supported them for years! It’s just…it proves he really cares, you know? It wasn’t just a thank you, it was like, a lifetime of appreciation coming through. I’m seriously getting chills just thinking about it!

King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined the rest of the royal family in celebrations, but Prince William and Kate chose to spend the weekend at their country home in Norfolk with their children, according to several news sources.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following the news closely, and it was definitely noticeable that the Prince and Princess of Wales weren’t with the family this Easter. It was actually the second year they’ve missed the holiday, and came just a week after Kate shared her cancer diagnosis – a really difficult time, understandably.

On April 15th, Jason Knauf was named the new Chief Executive Officer of Prince William’s environmental initiative, The Earthshot Prize. In a statement on the organization’s website, Knauf expressed his excitement about collaborating with the team and the Earthshot community to further their goal of inspiring positive change for the planet.

He received a promotion almost seven years after he reported concerns about Meghan Markle’s behavior, claiming she bullied two assistants and tried to discredit another staff member. Representatives for the Sussexes refuted the claims, telling The Times that the story was a deliberate attempt to damage their reputation using false information.

Buckingham Palace looked into the claims, but the investigation concluded in 2022 with no public announcement of its results.

William and Kate’s eldest son George attended a soccer match in Paris alongside his dad April 7. 

A father and son happily watched the UEFA Champions League Quarter Final match between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa at Parc des Princes stadium.

Graham Craker, a former bodyguard to Prince Harry and Prince William, passed away in April at the age of 77.

Craker was with Princes William and Harry when they found out their mother, Princess Diana, had passed away, and he was also present at her funeral.

In 2017, Craker told The New York Post that he saw Prince William acknowledge him while the Queen Mother’s hearse passed. Craker had been standing at the back of the hearse and nodded to Prince William, who seemed reassured that Craker was with his mother during her final journey.

Hugh and Olivia Grosvenor, whose relationship with King Charles III includes him being the godfather to Hugh, shared the happy news on March 12th that they are expecting their first child.

A spokesperson announced to The Telegraph that the duchess is pregnant and expecting a baby this summer. The couple expressed their joy and excitement about starting a family.

Prince Frederik, the son of Prince Robert and Princess Julie, passed away on March 1st at the age of 22 following a struggle with a rare genetic condition called PolG mitochondrial disease.

Robert shared in a statement that Frederik is like a superhero to him, their family, and a large circle of friends. Thanks to Frederik’s PolG Foundation, his positive influence now extends to people around the world. Robert believes Frederik’s strength came from his ability to inspire others and lead through his own actions.

 

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, reached a legal settlement with News Group Newspapers—the publisher of both The Sun and the now-closed News of the World—on January 22nd. He had sued the organization in 2019, claiming their journalists and investigators illegally obtained information about the royal family.

According to NBC News, the settlement involved the company paying a significant amount in damages and offering Harry a complete and sincere apology. They also publicly admitted to the widespread and harmful coverage that invaded both his privacy and the privacy of his mother, Princess Diana.

On January 14th, The Princess of Wales shared the wonderful news that her cancer treatment has been successful and she is now in remission.

She announced on X (formerly Twitter) on January 14th that her cancer is in remission and she’s concentrating on getting better. She added that, like anyone facing a cancer diagnosis, she’s still adjusting to life after it.

She added that she was excited about the year ahead and optimistic about what it would bring.

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is grieving the loss of her rescue beagle, a dog she adopted back in 2015, before she met Prince Harry.

On January 7th, she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram about feeling overwhelmed with sadness. She described crying so much that she’d often stand in the shower, hoping the water could wash away the pain – even though she knew it wouldn’t. She ended by acknowledging that it’s okay to feel those emotions.

Meghan lovingly remembered her dog, Guy, saying, “Thank you for always loving me, my sweet boy. You brought so much joy to my life.”

 

Edward Pettifer, the stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry’s former nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke (also known as Alexandra Pettifer), was a victim in the New Orleans terrorist attack on New Year’s Day.

Prince William and Catherine were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ed Pettifer. In a message shared on Kate Middleton’s Instagram account on January 4th, Prince William stated their thoughts are with the Pettifer family and everyone affected by this terrible tragedy.

Okay, you guys, can you BELIEVE it?! Meghan Markle – yes, the Meghan, from Suits! – finally joined Instagram by herself! I was seriously starting to think she’d never come back to social media after she married Harry back in 2018, she deleted everything right before the wedding! But then, on January 1st, there it was! A whole new account, just for her! I’m losing it!

I was so excited to hear Meghan Markle is launching a new series on Netflix called With Love, Meghan! From what I understand, it’s going to be a really fresh take on the lifestyle space – think helpful tips and tricks, but also really open and honest chats with people she cares about, both old friends and new. It sounds like a beautiful blend of practical advice and genuine connection, and I can’t wait to see it!

In June 2025, Prince William and Kate Middleton were spotted at Wimbledon with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, for a special public appearance.

It’s always a joy for me to be back at Wimbledon for the finals! I was so thrilled to see Iga Świątek and Jannik Sinner win this year, and I really want to thank everyone who works so hard to make the tournament such a special event. It’s a weekend I always look forward to!
