All 10 Entries Of A Generation-Defining Horror Franchise Return To Streaming In One Place

As a movie lover, I’ve really enjoyed how easy streaming has made it to watch what I want, but it can be a pain when it comes to franchises. You often find one movie is available on one service, but not the others, or they’re spread across multiple platforms! It turns into a real hunt just to watch a series in order. But right now, fans of a truly iconic horror franchise are in luck – all the movies have landed on a single streaming service, which is a fantastic holiday treat. It’s so nice when you can just settle in and enjoy a complete saga without jumping between different apps!

All ten movies in the Saw franchise are now streaming on Peacock as of today, December 19th. This includes Jigsaw, the original Saw, Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV, Saw VI, Saw X, Saw: The Final Chapter, and Spiral – perfect for a scary movie marathon!

Saw Is One of The Most Influential. Horror Films of the Early 2000s

The original Saw, released in 2004, launched a hugely successful horror franchise and marked the directorial beginning for James Wan. Wan has since become a prominent horror director, known for films like Insidious and The Conjuring. The movie tells the story of the Jigsaw Killer, who forces his victims to play terrifying games where they must endure extreme pain and harm themselves to survive. Despite being made with a small $1 million budget, Saw became a box office success, earning over $104 million.

Although critics weren’t impressed, the first Saw film was a huge financial hit, especially given its small budget. This led to a sequel, Saw II, which came out just a year later and earned $152.9 million. The latest installment, Saw X, was released in 2023. The future of the Saw series is now uncertain. Plans for an 11th film were cancelled when Blumhouse Productions acquired Twisted Pictures’ share of the franchise in June. As it stands, Saw X is the last movie in the series, and it remains to be seen what will happen next.
