I remember when Faces of Death came out in 1978 – it was totally infamous! Everyone talked about how it supposedly showed real deaths and gruesome injuries, not just movie magic. It got banned in a ton of countries (they even advertised that fact!), but that just made people want to see it even more. It was a huge hit, making over $35 million with what I heard was a tiny $67,000 budget. Now, after almost five years of hearing rumors, they’ve finally given us a first look at the reboot and announced when it’s coming out. I’m honestly a little scared and a lot curious!

I spent a good amount of time playing Highguard and got a solid understanding of its mechanics. However, I was surprised by how quickly I uninstalled it. Right from the start, it was obvious the game wasn’t still developing – it felt like a promising idea that ultimately fell flat, becoming frustrating and draining to play.

The classic sci-fi horror film Event Horizon became available on Paramount+ on January 1st, building anticipation for the upcoming comic book sequel, Event Horizon: Inferno, planned for April 2026. Directed by Paul Anderson and set in 2047, the movie follows a crew of astronauts—including Laurence Fishburne, Sam Neill, Kathleen Quinlan, and Joely Richardson—who are sent to investigate a spaceship that mysteriously reappeared after vanishing seven years prior. While now considered a cult favorite, Event Horizon wasn’t initially successful. It flopped at the box office, earning only $42 million despite a $60 million budget, and received largely negative reviews, with a 26% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
