HBO’s Best Fantasy Show Running for a Record-Breaking 15 Seasons Is Exactly What It Needs

I’m already hooked on the new Game of Thrones show, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms – it might just be the best fantasy show out there right now! It’s based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg, and it follows the adventures of a wandering knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his young squire, Egg, as they travel around Westeros. What’s really exciting is that the showrunner, Ira Parker, has talked about potentially making this show last for 12 to 15 seasons! Even though there are only three books out currently, Martin has enough material planned for around a dozen more, and Parker wants to adapt all of it for TV. It’s a huge goal, but I’m definitely on board if they can pull it off!

Adam Scott Promises Severance Season 3 Is Arriving “Much Sooner” Than Season 2

I was absolutely hooked by Severance when the first season blew up, so I was thrilled when season 2 finally arrived in January 2025! It was even better than I’d hoped, earning tons of praise and actually becoming Apple TV+’s biggest hit, even beating out Ted Lasso. But now, over a year since season 2 finished, there’s still no news about when they’ll start filming season 3, and honestly, I’m starting to worry we’ll be waiting a really long time.

Superman’s future in theaters looks bright thanks to James Gunn’s successful reboot, Superman, released in 2025. The film earned $618.7 million worldwide, making it the year’s biggest superhero hit, and a sequel, Man of Tomorrow, is already in production. David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult will reprise their roles as Superman and Lex Luthor, and Lars Eidinger joins the cast as Brainiac. Throughout the nearly 90-year history of Superman movies, filmmakers have had to condense a lot of comic book history into shorter films, but there have been times when specific panels and scenes from the comics were recreated almost exactly on screen.
