It’s been almost three years since those initial announcements, and honestly, it’s frustrating – we still have no idea when we’ll actually see any of these new Star Wars films. Kathleen Kennedy, before leaving her role at Lucasfilm, let slip that Dawn of the Jedi is currently stalled. And it sounds like Dave Filoni’s movie might be too, now that he’s stepped into a leadership position at the studio. What’s really strange is that Kennedy didn’t mention New Jedi Order – the Rey movie – during her recent interview with Deadline when talking about projects in the works. You’d think a film starring Rey would be a huge priority, so her silence almost feels like confirmation of those rumors about where her story is headed.

Look, I’m a huge George R.R. Martin fan, and I recently read his comments about the show adaptations. He admitted he has an ego, which, honestly, any creator would! What really struck me was his desire for faithfulness to his original work – he built this incredible world, Westeros, and naturally wants to be involved and have his vision respected. Apparently, Warner Bros. – who technically own the rights now – isn’t always giving him that. HBO’s Francesca Orsi has said they’ll consider his input, but ultimately do what they think is best for the show. It sounds like some of the changes they made with House of the Dragon didn’t sit well with him, and I can totally understand why – it’s his world, after all!

A new is in the works, and it will feature the return of several original cast members. Zach Braff will reprise his role as Dr. J.D. Dorian, along with Donald Faison as Dr. Chris Turk and Sarah Chalke as Dr. Elliot Reid. John C. McGinley will also be back as Dr. Perry Cox, and Judy Reyes as Carla Espinosa, though their appearances will be limited to guest roles.

The start of the new millennium in the 2000s ushered in a wave of innovative science fiction. The decade produced several outstanding sci-fi TV shows that broadened the possibilities of the genre, fitting perfectly with the world’s entry into the 21st century. The 2000s are truly unique for sci-fi, and the shows below demonstrate why.

During a fight between heroes, Superman unexpectedly battles his Justice League teammate, Green Lantern Hal Jordan. It soon becomes apparent why Guy Gardner chose Hal as his partner – Hal is a significantly more skilled Green Lantern. He demonstrates this by creating a Black Mercy, an incredibly impressive construct. This dangerous alien plant attaches itself to a host and traps them in a perfect, dreamlike world. The Black Mercy first appeared in a classic, emotionally powerful Superman story, Superman Annual #11, titled “For the Man Who Has Everything.”

Samson first appeared in 28 Years Later as a powerful Alpha zombie, leading a large group of infected near the Bone Temple. He’s memorable for his huge size and the fact that he’s completely nude. Ralph Fiennes’ character, Dr. Ian Kelson, is particularly interested in Samson, and uses drugs to calm him down for research, which is explored in more detail in The Bone Temple.

The game truly shines when it successfully blends epic battles with beloved Disney characters. A fantastic example of this, surprisingly, was a bonus boss first found in a 2012 spin-off game for the 3DS, and many players may have missed it. As Kingdom Hearts 4 is being developed, it would be wonderful if the creators revisited and incorporated some of the best, lesser-known elements from past games.

I’m so excited! Deadpool: Samurai is back after being on break for over a year, and it’s hilarious because Deadpool actually apologizes to us, the fans, right away for making us wait! He even points out it’s been 15 months! And get this – he promises to try and deliver some ‘clean, wholesome’ content from now on, just to make sure we don’t have to wait that long again. It’s a really fun way to kick off the new chapter.

The story starts with Aegon’s Conquest, and all dates are counted from that event, marked as “AC” (After Conquest). House of the Dragon is set over a century after the Conquest, while Game of Thrones takes place nearly 300 years later, after the Targaryen dynasty is finished. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms falls somewhere in between those two time periods.
