Nintendo Sets Release Date for Its First New Switch 2 Game of 2026 (But There’s a Catch)

Announced during the September Nintendo Direct, Pokemon Pokopia is a life simulation game similar to Minecraft, taking place on a Pokemon island. Players take on the role of a Human Ditto and work to transform the island into a perfect home for Pokemon. Gameplay shown so far includes features like shaping the land, farming, and construction. Originally planned for release sometime in 2026, Pokemon has now officially set the release date for March 5th, 2026. This makes it the first new, first-party Nintendo game with a confirmed release date for the next year. However, this game is also notable for being the first of its kind in another way.

They were raised on the brutal world of Warworld, where gladiatorial combat is commonplace. Despite being Superman’s children, Otho and Osul are surprisingly overlooked in current Superman comics. This is frustrating to many fans, as they actually address a long-standing problem the DC fanbase has been hoping to see resolved.
