The Only Stephen King Movie To Ever Win an Oscar Is Leaving Netflix in Less Than 24 Hours

Rob Reiner’s classic 1990 film, Misery, will be leaving Netflix after a short run. It arrived on the platform March 1st and is scheduled to be removed on April 1st. Based on Stephen King’s 1987 novel, Misery is considered one of the best adaptations of his work, and it’s the only one to have won an Academy Award. Kathy Bates took home the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance as Annie Wilkes, a disturbing and obsessive former nurse who kidnaps her favorite author, Paul Sheldon, and forces him to rewrite his book. Bates also won a Golden Globe for the role, and the film received nominations for Saturn Awards in categories like Best Horror Film and Best Writing, though it didn’t win those awards.

I’m really excited for the Spider-Noir series coming to Prime Video in May, and it’s got me thinking about where Sony’s Spider-Man universe is headed. It seems like Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the folks behind it, might be hinting at a cool new strategy. Instead of just making movies about Spider-Man’s enemies, Sony could have even bigger success by creating live-action spin-offs based on characters from the Spider-Verse. Honestly, that sounds amazing to me!

Creature Feature Cult Classic ‘Tremors’ Slithers To Streaming Success

I’ve been diving deep into horror lately, and I stumbled upon this ’90s movie that’s seriously underrated. It really blew my mind with something totally new at the time! It got me thinking – we’ve explored so little of the ocean, so many creatures remain unknown. But what about the land? You’d think we’d know what’s under our feet by now, wouldn’t you?
