Deadpool & Wolverine: Chris Hemsworth Teases Answer for Why Thor Was Crying

As a long-time Marvel fan and someone who has seen their fair share of superhero movies, I must say that the mystery surrounding Thor’s tears in Deadpool & Wolverine has me hooked! Having grown up watching Chris Hemsworth as the mighty Thor on the big screen, it was surreal to see him sharing screentime with Deadpool. The thought of an answer being revealed about Thor’s emotional outburst is exhilarating, especially since I still can’t forget the heart-wrenching scene.

In the intriguing world of Deadpool and Wolverine, a long-standing enigma could soon be unveiled. Although some extraordinary guest appearances marked Deadpool and Wolverine, one that might have slipped under fans’ radars is Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as Thor, the Mighty Thunderer. The second time Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman graced the screen together was nothing short of enchanting, but the pairing of Thor and Deadpool on-screen was certainly unanticipated. This unexpected duo is particularly intriguing when considering their past encounters. Although Deadpool didn’t receive answers from the TVA regarding why Thor held his dying body, Hemsworth hints that a resolution may be on the horizon.

In a chat with Black Girl Nerds, Chris Hemsworth discussed his upcoming film Transformers One. When asked about why Thor was crying in Deadpool & Wolverine, he chuckled and replied, “I’m wondering that myself!” He advised fans to concentrate on the Marvel Universe as the solution would eventually be revealed. He added that the explanation will be unveiled at some point. Check out the video below for more details.

Deadpool & Wolverine director doesn’t know why Thor was crying either

In the scene depicted in the TVA monitor, it isn’t just Chris Hemsworth who’s puzzled as to why Thor is weeping while clutching Deadpool. The scenario might be set during Avengers: Secret Wars, a future event where Marvel actors from different eras join forces to combat Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. Deadpool appears to be near death, with his mask half-exposed and blood visible on different parts of his body. His gaze is fixed upon Thor, who’s holding Deadpool and has tears streaming down his face.

Wade queries, using clips from 2013’s movie Thor: The Dark World, “Who is this? I see Thor, but why is he crying?” However, Mr. Paradox of the TVA interrupts the broadcast, leaving us without answers. It seems that director Shawn Levy also doesn’t have the solutions to these mysteries.

In simpler terms, the director stated that their intention was to create a standalone movie, neither a prequel nor a sequel, and Kevin Feige did not require them to establish a storyline for another film. When asked about Thor’s tears, he admitted that no one knows the reason, but he would be thrilled to uncover it.
