Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo All But Guarantees Yuka’s Death With a Forbidden Technique

Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. The new short series, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, created by Gege Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, came out in September and has quickly become very popular, especially as the story reaches its climax. The manga has already revealed a tragic fate for Yuka Okkotsu, the granddaughter of Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin. She is seriously ill, and will only have three months to live by the time she fights Dabura.

With the Jujutsu world facing defeat against the Simurians and no one able to defeat Dabura, Yuka made the difficult decision to fight, even though she was already very ill. Confined to a wheelchair and with failing eyesight, she possessed a secret weapon: the Ten Shadows Style, a powerful and legendary technique passed down through the Zenin Clan. This technique offered a potential turning point in the battle.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Reveals Yuka’s Forbidden Technique Could Result in Her Death

Following the Zenin Clan’s downfall, the Gojo Clan banned the Ten Shadows Style due to its immense danger. Yuka was restricted in how much she could use her technique, specifically forbidden from summoning Mahoraga – a devastatingly powerful creature capable of destroying anything. However, during the battle, she was forced to summon the terrifying Shikigami and attempt an exorcism. Historically, only Sukuna has ever been able to control this Shikigami, and Yuka proved no exception.

This dangerous technique pulls the target into the ritual, endangering both their lives. Yuka intends to sacrifice herself along with Dabura when the ritual inevitably fails. We learn in chapter 16 of the manga that Yuka was already near death when the battle began, which explains how weak she is. Considering Dabura is much stronger and Mahoraga is nearly unbeatable, her situation is hopeless.

It seems certain she will die, unless she has a hidden plan. While someone could intervene, it would break the established rules. Even if she were to win the fight, her illness would still claim her life within three months. There’s no cure for what she has, suggesting the story is heading towards a sad conclusion unless something unexpected happens at the very end.
