Netflix is a leading force in today’s streaming world, offering a vast library of movies and TV shows for viewers of all ages and tastes. It’s known for both critically acclaimed series and original content, providing endless entertainment options. Thrillers are especially popular on the platform, consistently ranking among its most-watched shows globally. Given the enduring popularity of thriller novels and stories, Netflix has a steady stream of material to adapt into new series.
Netflix has had some huge thriller hits, but many great shows fly under the radar. If you love a good, suspenseful thriller, there are plenty of hidden gems on Netflix worth checking out and watching all at once.
5) The Sinner

As a big fan of crime dramas, I really enjoyed The Sinner. It’s an anthology series, meaning each season has a completely new case, but Bill Pullman is fantastic as Detective Harry Ambrose and he’s the one constant throughout the whole show. The first season was actually based on a novel from 1999 by Petra Hammesfahr. What’s cool is that each season brings in a fresh cast of characters – I remember Jessica Biel, Matt Bomer, Carrie Coon, and Michael Mosley all having major roles at different times. It’s a great show if you like mysteries where the focus is really on why someone did something.
Even though The Sinner has received a lot of praise and consistently high ratings, it’s surprisingly not mentioned as often when people discuss great TV thrillers. Each season tells a fascinating and mysterious story, featuring strong acting. All four seasons are now streaming on Netflix in the US.
4) The Stranger

Lots of excellent Netflix shows fly under the radar, but The Stranger is particularly overlooked. This British mystery thriller, adapted from Harlan Coben’s novel, didn’t even get much attention in the UK! With a strong British cast including Richard Armitage, Hannah John-Kamen, and Anthony Head, The Stranger delivers a truly suspenseful and intriguing story.
The series centers on Adam Price, an ordinary man whose life is turned upside down when a stranger reveals a secret about his wife, leading to her mysterious disappearance. It’s a remarkably well-made show, which makes its lack of recognition even more surprising. While it’s not unusual for shows to be overlooked internationally, the fact that it hasn’t found a large audience even in the UK makes The Stranger one of Netflix’s most underrated limited series.
3) Black Rabbit

Black Rabbit, starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman, initially seemed destined to become a hit on Netflix. The series centers on a New York club owner (Law) whose life is disrupted by the return of his brother (Bateman), who could jeopardize everything he’s built. Despite being released in September 2025, the show didn’t quite achieve the level of success many expected.
While Black Rabbit received mostly good reviews, it didn’t become a huge hit with viewers worldwide. Despite having two well-known actors, the thriller ended up being a bit of a hidden find. It might not be the best show of 2025, but Black Rabbit is definitely worth watching all the way through on Netflix.
2) Bloodline

Netflix’s Bloodline is a fantastic series that unfortunately doesn’t get enough attention. The first season, which debuted in 2015, received very positive reviews. While the second and third seasons weren’t as popular, the acting was still highly praised. The show boasts a strong cast, including Kyle Chandler, Linda Cardellini, Ben Mendelsohn, Sissy Spacek, and John Leguizamo, among others.
Netflix’s Bloodline is a thrilling drama centered on the Rayburn family, a prominent family in the Florida Keys, and the dangerous secrets they desperately try to hide. While the show wasn’t quite as strong after its first season, it’s still a fantastic series, especially if you like Yellowstone or other Netflix originals. It’s become a bit of a hidden treasure, and definitely worth watching all at once if you enjoy dramatic thrillers with a talented cast.
1) Behind Her Eyes

I’m completely obsessed with the British Netflix series Behind Her Eyes, and I wish more people knew about it! It’s about a woman named Louise who gets caught in a really complicated situation – she starts a relationship with her boss, but then becomes friends with his wife, Adele. Honestly, the story just keeps twisting and turning, and the ending? Wow. It’s a total shocker that I’m still thinking about – completely unbelievable!
From the start, Behind Her Eyes creates a gripping atmosphere through its psychological storytelling. While the show’s shocking twist is a great surprise, it’s the overall suspense that truly makes it compelling. This excellent thriller, with a touch of the paranormal, is just the right length for a full weekend binge.
